메이커 교육을 활용한 초급 피아노 독보 지도방안 연구-만 6~7세를 대상으로 = A Study on Teaching Methods for Reading Piano Musics Using Maker Education for the age of 6 to 7

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 예측할 수 없이 빠르게 변화하는 시대, 즉 ‘미래 사회에 필요한 교육은 무엇인가?’ 라는 질문에서 시작되었다. 다양한 도구들을 활용하여 스스로 만들어 보는 활동을 통하여 자기 주도적 학습과 융합적 창의성을 키우는 메이커 교육에서 그 답을 찾아보았다.
본 논문은 피아노 교육에 중요한 요소 중 하나인 독보를 메이커 교육과 접목하여 만 6~7세를 대상으로 한 초급 피아노 독보지도 방안을 연구하였다. 메이커 교육의 학습모형 중 팅커링(Tinkering), 메이킹(Making), 공유하기(Sharing), 개선하기(Improving)의 학습 단계를 가진 TMSI 모형을 활용하여 본 독보지도안을 설계하였다. 팅커링 활동에서는 교사의 지도하에 음악적 개념을 놀이로 내면화하고 융합 활동을 통하여 창의성을 증진한다. 메이킹, 공유하기, 개선하기 활동에서는 학습자 중심의 수업으로 스스로 음악을 만들어 보고, 악보로 표현하는 과정을 통하여 독보력을 향상시킨다. 총 8차시(한차시당 50분)로 수업이 진행되며 ‘안전송 만들기, 구구단송 만들기, 학교 종소리 만들기, 명화를 음악으로 만들기’ 라는 실생활과 관련된 네가지 주제로 메이킹 활동을 하게 된다. 만 6~7세라는 특성상 한계는 있지만 스마트기기를 활용하여 음악을 만들고, 만든 음악을 녹음하여 음원화 한다.
앞서 설명한 독보지도안을 통해 학생들은 음악의 아름다움을 내면화하여 소리를 만들고, 마음속에 만들어진 소리를 악보로 표현하게 된다. 이 과정이 효과적인 독보교육이 될 수 있다. 기존 독보교육의 틀을 벗어나 스스로 음악을 만드는 과정을 통해 자기 주도적이고 창의성을 키우는 새로운 독보교육의 방법을 제안한다. 또한 혼자가 아닌 함께 음악을 만들고 공유함으로 협력과 소통을 배우게 된다. 본 논문이 미래 시대 피아노 교육의 새로운 독보지도 방법을 찾는 데 도움이 될 수 있기를 바라고 현장에서 활용되고 검증되기를 기대해 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study began with the question: What kind of education is needed for the rapidly and unpredictably changing future society? The answer was found in ‘Maker education’, which develops self-directed learning and convergent creativity through hands-on activities utilizing various tools.
This paper proposes a method for teaching beginner piano sight-reading to children aged 6-7 years old by integrating maker education, which can cultivate self-directed learning and convergent creativity, with sight-reading one of the important elements of piano education. It aims to apply 'making activities' to piano education.
The sight-reading lesson plan of this study was designed using the TMIS model, which is a learning model for Maker education with the learning stages of tinkering, making, sharing, and improving. In the Tinkering activity, under the teacher's guidance, students internalize musical concepts through play and enhance their creativity through convergence activities. In the Making, Sharing, and Improving activities, learners are encouraged to create their own music through student-centered lessons and express it in musical scores to enhance their own creativity. The curriculum consists of 8 sessions (50 minutes each), with making activities based on four real-life themes: 'Making a Safety Song,' 'Making a Times Tables Song,' 'Making a School Bell Sound,' and 'Making a Famous Painting into Music.' Although there are limitations due to the nature of 6-7 year olds, they use smart devices to create music and record their creations into audio files.
The process of internalizing the beauty of music to create sounds, and expressing the sounds created in the mind through musical scores can be an effective way to teach sight-reading. Breaking away from the existing framework of sight-reading education, this paper suggests a new method that helps to improve self-directed learning and creativity through the process of creating music by oneself. In this way, students experience sight-reading learning as a part of the entire piano experience. Furthermore, by creating and sharing music together in groups rather than alone, they learn cooperation and communication.
It is hoped that this paper will help find ways for future piano education and that the proposed methods will be utilized and verified in the field.
