아동기 자녀를 둔 아버지와 어머니의 양육행동 관련 연구에 대한 메타분석 = A Meta-Analysis of Factors Related to Parenting Behavior

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The current meta-analysis aimed to examine the effect sizes of factors related to parenting behaviors of mothers and fathers. In addition, the moderated effects of children's age(preschool children/school aged children), the source(academic journal/dissertation) and time of publications on the overall effect sizes were investigated by meta-regression analysis. The final data in the meta-analysis included ninety-nine peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles and one-hundred thirty one dissertations published between 1996 and 2017. The results of this study showed the largest effect size with the psychological factors for both parents, followed by marital quality factors, child factors, and socioeconomic factors. On the contrary, there was the difference in affective/autonomous parenting behaviors between mothers and fathers. That is, the psychological factors showed a large effect size for mothers' affective/autonomous parenting behaviors while marital quality factors showed a large effect size for fathers' affective/autonomous parenting behaviors.
In conclusion, this study synthesized previous published studies on the topic of parenting behaviors between 1996 and 2017. By focusing on five types of parenting behaviors for both parents, the results of this meta-analysis imply that the strategies to intervent parenting behaviors should consider the psychological factors and child's ages.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 지난 1996년부터 2017년까지 이루어진 아동기 자녀를 둔 아버지와 어머니의 양육행동관련 연구를 메타분석하여 관련된 요인의 효과크기를 살펴보고, 출처(학술지/학위논문), 자녀의 연령(유아/아동), 출간시기에 따른 조절 효과크기의 차이를 밝혀내었다. 분석대상은 국내에서 이루어진 부모의 양육행동에 관한 선행연구 중에서 부모의 양육행동을 종속변인으로 하는 연구논문으로 학술지게재 논문 99편과 석⋅박사 학위 논문 131편으로 총 230편이었다. 본 연구결과, 어머니의 애정⋅자율적 양육행동에는 심리적 요인의 효과크기가 가장 크게 나타난 반면 아버지의 애정⋅자율적 양육행동에는 부부관계요인이 상대적으로 큰 효과크기를 보였다. 또한 어머니와 아버지의 거부⋅적대적 양육행동에는 심리적 요인의 효과크기가 가장 크게 나타나 부모의 양육행동에는 심리적 요인이 중요함을 보여주었다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 1996년부터 2017년까지의 이후의 선행연구를 통합적으로 분석하고 종합하여 후속연구의 방향을 제시하고 부모교육과 상담현장의 개입은 물론 관련 프로그램 개발에 실질적인 자료를 제시하였다는데 의의가 있다.
