부모학업관여와 청소년 직업포부의 자기회귀 교차지연 효과 = Autoregressive Cross-Lagged Analysis between Parents' Academic Involvement and Youth' Vocational Aspiration

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 부모학업관여와 청소년 직업포부의 종단적 관계를 자기회귀 교차지연 모형을 통해 알아보았다. 이를 위해 한국교육종단연구((KELS)의 2차년도(중2)부터 5차년도(고2)에 걸친 4년간의 설문조사 자료 중 부모의 학업관여와 청소년 직업포부의 모든 문항에 응답한 남녀 학생 1,894명의 응답 결과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 부모의 학업관여와 청소년의 직업포부는 모두 시간에 따라 안정적으로 나타났다. 부모의 학업관여가 청소년의 직업포부에 미치는 영향은 매년 유의하였지만, 청소년의 직업포부가 부모의 학업관여에 미치는 영향은 부분적으로만 지지되었다. 이러한 결과는 청소년의 직업포부는 시간에 따라 안정적이므로 초기에 적절한 직업포부를 설정하고, 중․고등학교시기에 직업포부가 발달할 수 있도록 보다 충분한 직업 진로지도와 상담이 이루어져야 할 필요가 있음을 나타낸다. 부모의 학업관여는 시간에 따라 안정적인 성향이 있음을 반영하여 부모교육이나 상담을 제공해야 하고, 부모의 학업관여는 청소년의 직업포부에도 영향을 미치므로 긍정적인 학업관여 방안을 구체적으로 제시해 줄 필요가 있음을 시사한다. 기타 이 연구의 시사점과 한계점, 그리고 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 정리하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to find out the stability of youth' vocational aspiration and parental academic involvement, and also examine the inter-relationship between youth' vocational aspiration and parental academic involvement longitudinally. For these purposes, the data from Korean Education Longitudinal Study(KELS) from 2nd year(8th grade) to 5th year(11th grade) were utilized. 1,894 male and female students' longitudinal responses for 4 years were analyzed by autoregressive cross-lagged model.
The results were as follows: youth' recognition on parents' academic involvement over time showed stable, and also occupational aspiration has been stable for 4 years. Parents' academic involvement influenced youth' occupational aspiration significantly, but occupational aspiration influenced parents' academic involvement for short-time or negligible.
These results suggest followings. First, the education and counseling for parents should be performed with considering the stability of parental academic involvement. Second, career intervention should be provided that youth can establish more proper vocational aspiration at early youth period. Third, it needs to propose that positive academic involvement skills were provided with youth' parents because parental academic involvement also play a role in youth' establishing vocational aspiration. Above these, the implications and limitations of this study, and future directions for succeeding studies were discussed.
