한국 전통 음악 그룹 '불세출'의 공연 '자락'(2021.4.11. 플랫폼 창동61 레드박스)에 적용된 연출방법론 연구

한국의 전통문화가 세계에서 주목을 받고 있다. 소셜 미디어에 의해 빠르게 전파되어 인지도가 상승하고 있으며 대중적으로 유행하고 있다. 이러한 전통문화의 발전양상에 전통음악공연은 비례하지 못하고 있다. 이유는 기존 연주회 방식의 전통음악공연은 소셜 미디어 문화의 다양한 컨셉, 극적인 전개, 예측할 수 없는 결과물에 익숙한 대중들에게 진부할 수 있기 때문이다. 전통음악공연에 지속적인 관심을 호소할게 아니라 현시대 대중들과 유대감을 형성할 수 있는 전통음악공연 콘텐츠를 제작해야 한다. 이것은 전통음악공연의 다양한 연출방법이 전통음악의 유지 계승에 도움을 주고 공연장의 관객 수용에 많은 영향을 줄 수 있다.
현재 전통음악공연 콘텐츠가 다양한 연출방법으로 제작되고 있으며 대중들에게 인지도를 높이고 있다. 이에 따라 연출방법 연구가 필요하고 전통음악공연의 발전에 도움이 된다고 생각한다.
본 연구는 전통음악의 토속민요를 주제로 전통음악그룹 불세출의 공연 ‘자락 : 사라져 가는 것에 대하여’에 적용된 전통음악공연 연출방법이다. 전통음악공연에서의 음악을 ‘듣는다’가 아닌 ‘본다’ 개념으로, 음악 전달을 시각화 하는 현대적인 무대예술표현방법을 구현함으로써 전통음악을 이해하고 공연이 제작되는 과정과 무대예술로 미디어아트, 무대미술, 조명예술과 디지털 음향이 구현된 본 과정의 고찰을 통해 새로운 전통음악공연 방식을 제시 하고자 하였다.

연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째. 프러덕션 과정은 공연의 의미 부여와 주제의 분명함, 시뮬레이션을 통한 무대예술구현을 통해 작품으로서 완성도를 향상 시킬 수 있다.
둘째. 음악공연의 연출은 공연의 음악에 대한 충분한 이해를 해야 하며 연극의 장면 연구처럼 곡에 대한 연구가 필요하다.
셋째. 연출의 음악전문 지식이 미흡하여도 음악을 대사로 연주자를 배우로 치환한다면 공연에서 전달하고자 하는 목적을 충분히 달성할 수 있다.
넷째. 인터랙티브 미디어아트 무대효과를 사용한 토속민요의 시각화는 관객에게 잘 전달되었으나 관객과 함께하는 이머시브 공연 형태로 발전은 부족하였다.
다양한 무대예술이 적용된 무대예술 학술연구, 전통음악공연의 연출법과 전통음악공연의 사례연구가 전통음악공연 발전에 큰 도움이 된다고 생각한다.

Korean traditional music is drawing attention in the world. Popularity also exists in Traditional music which develops when it is popular, otherwise it is ignored and disappears quietly.
This aspect does not only occur in a field of traditional music.
Instead of appealing to the public for continued interest in forgotten traditions, we should create performance content that the public could visit, sing together, enjoy and build bonds.
However, the method of performing concerts with traditional music as a theme cannot receive the attention of the public who are familiar with various concepts, many changes and quick results of social media culture. Therefore, we will study the way in which traditional performances can be developed.
The research is dramatics applied to “Jarak: About Disappearing” of the traditional music group ‘BulseChul’, which was performed on April 10th and 11th, 2020 at Red Box in Platform ChangDong 61, with the theme of folk songs of traditional music.
By understanding traditional music and studying how to improve the performance through the production process, traditional music performances incorporating with media art, stage art, lighting art, and digital sound are implemented as interactive media performances as a dramatics method.
Although we wanted to move away from the usual concert method by visualizing the delivery of music with the concept of viewing rather than listening in traditional music performances, lots of researches/trials/errors are needed for the audiences who are accustomed to the existing concert method to understand and enjoy the folk songs together in traditional music performances.
