ABSTRACT

The Conflict of Taekwondo Athletes Arising from Changes the Match Environment

This study was intended to identify the conflict of Taekwondo athletes arising from changes in the current Taekwondo match environment and present a right direction for the change of the Taekwondo match environment by posing its solution.
To attain the goal of this study, it employed a qualitative research method to identify the behavior and thinking of the participants in it overall. In this research method framework, the athletic club located in Seoul, of the Taekwondo club of the college, was selected as the subject of this study by using the purposive sampling method based on the reference-oriented choice method. The conflict they currently felt was collected by using the in-depth interview, and data collected in this way were classified by meaning through the process of categorization.
To attain the goal of this study, the following study questions were set:
First, what conflict do Taekwondo athletes experience in the training situation due to changes in the match environment?
Second, what conflict do Taekwondo athletes experience in a match situation due to changes in the match environment?
Third, what are the problem of changes in the match environment and its solution?
As a result, the following findings were drawn:
First, one problem is related to 'conflict in a training situation'. And it could be classified into sub-categories such as 'changes in the training content and atmosphere'. ’changes in the training situation and the match situation'
Second, another problem is related to ‘conflict in a match’, which could be classified into sub-categories such as the ‘change of the protector’, ‘invisible judgement’, the ‘change of the gymnasium’, the ‘decline of competitiveness'.
Based on the above findings, it was found that Taekwondo athletes currently felt the conflict due to changes in the match environment. This solution was as follows:
First, the period of the match opening should be between October and November.
Second, it is necessary to grope the scheme to improve the score on pushing kick and the score on consecutive kick in using the protector and unify the protector as the one to meet this.
Third, it is necessary to provide the institutional strategy to hold the interpreter engaged in imagery interpretation in check.
Fourth, the size of the arena should be restored to the past one.
The above findings taken together, Taekwondo can be said to stand at an important point in time of the middle between change and adaptation. Accordingly, how to solve the current problem of Taekwondo can be said to decide its future. Accordingly, the match environment should be changed for Taekwondo athletes, and attention should be paid to the spirit of chivalry. It is thought to enable athletes, the main agents of the match, to achieve their best athletic performance.

태권도 선수들의 갈등


이 연구는 현재 이루어지고 있는 태권도 경기환경 변화에서 오는 선수들의 갈등을 파악하고, 이에 따른 해결방안을 제시하여 태권도 경기환경 변화의 올바른 방향을 제시하고자 하였다.
이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 연구 참여자의 행위와 사고를 전체적으로 파악하는 질적 연구방법을 이용하였다. 이러한 연구 방법 틀에서 준거 지향적 선택방법에 의한 의도적 표집방법을 활용하여 대학 태권도부 중 서울에 위치한 1개교의 운동부를 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 이들을 대상으로 심층면접을 이용하여 현재 느끼고 있는 갈등을 수집하였으며, 이렇게 수집된 자료는 범주화 과정을 통해 의미를 분류하였다.
이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 첫째, 경기환경 변화로 인하여 선수들이 훈련 상황에서 겪는 갈등은 무엇인가? 둘째, 경기환경 변화로 인하여 선수들이 경기상황에서 겪는 갈등은 무엇인가? 셋째, 경기환경 변화의 문제점과 그 해결방안은 무엇인가?의 연구문제를 설정하여 분석한 결과, 다음과 같은 결과를 도 출 할 수 있었다.
첫째, ‘훈련에서의 갈등’과 관련된 것으로서, '훈련내용과 분위기의 변화‘, ’훈련 상황과 시합상황의 변화‘라는 하위 범부로 분류 할 수 있었다.
둘째, ‘경기에서의 갈등’과 관련 된 것으로서, ‘호구의 변화’, ‘보이지 않는 판정’, ‘경기장의 변화’, ‘경기력의 저하’라는 하위 범주로 분류 할 수 있었다.
이상과 같은 결과를 근거로 하여, 현재 선수들은 경기환경의 변화로 인하여 갈등을 느끼고 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 이를 해결하기 위한 방안은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 경기개정의 시기를 10월에서 11월 사이에 이루어지게 해야 한다.
둘째, 호구의 사용에 있어서 밀어차기 득점과 연속발차기 득점을 개선 할 수 있는 방안을 모색해야 하며, 이를 충족시킬 수 있는 호구로 통일을 해야 한다.
셋째, 영상판독을 하는 판독관들을 견제 할 수 있는 제도적 장치를 마련 해야 한다.
넷째, 경기장의 크기를 다시 예전으로 되돌아가야 한다.
이상과 같은 결과를 종합해 볼 때, 현재 태권도는 변화와 적응이라는 중간에 놓인 중요한 시점이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 현재의 문제점을 어떻게 해결하느냐는 앞으로 태권도의 미래를 결정 한다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 선수를 위한 경기환경의 변화가 이루어 져야 하며, 태권도의 무도 정신에도 관심을 기울여야 할 것이다. 그래야만 시합의 주체인 선수들이 최상의 경기력을 발휘 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
