    (Abstract)
The number of marriage immigrants continues to increase in an increasingly accelerating multicultural society. In particular, there is an urgent need to support for married immigrants with infant children (0 to 2 years old) to successfully settle down in Korea and perform the role of parents. Due to their low level of Korean language ability, they have great difficulty in understanding the contents of home correspondence, which is a key communication medium with the institution, when their children start attending an infant education institution. This lack of understanding of family correspondence can have a negative impact on the development of children and the upbringinging of parents due to a decrease in parent confidence in child rearing and education and difficulties in communicating with institutions.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents of the Korean vocabulary of the daycare center's family correspondence to help the infant children of marriage
immigrants, and to provide practical implications by presenting a list of educational vocabulary that suits the level of learners.
For this, the following research was carried out. In-depth interviews were conducted with 11 mothers of female marriage immigrants who had sent their children aged 0 to 2 to childcare institutions, and the understanding of family correspondence, difficulties related to raising children, the status of communication with the institution, and the demand for Korean language education were grasped. As a result of the interview, marriage immigrants had great difficulty in understanding the contents of home correspondence (especially Chinese characters and technical terms), and urgently demanded Korean language education to solve the lack of information about raising children.
Therefore, in order to analyze the vocabulary of home correspondence, the vocabulary was extracted by using the one-year home correspondence (198 sheets in
104 total) of 3 places that were commissioned and collected by a daycare center in Yangsan.
After analyzing the frequency and characteristics of the extracted vocabulary, cataloging the main vocabulary of 0 to 2 years old by topic, and finally selecting the list of educational vocabulary after being reviewed by early childhood education experts. The selected vocabulary was graded by comparing it with the standard curriculum vocabulary of the National Institute of Korean Language.
In addition, the high-frequency vocabulary in the family correspondence and the special vocabulary related to infants aged 0 to 2 years old were checked, and they were classified by topics such as 'information', 'education', 'health and safety', and 'events' to lay the foundation for vocabulary guidance necessary for actual parenting situations. By grading the analyzed vocabulary according to the level of Korean learners (beginner to intermediate), it presented a list of educational vocabulary that marriage immigrants in the early stages of learning can prioritize vocabulary for communication with the institution.
This study is significant in that it provides practical and urgent Korean vocabulary education that can directly help the role of marriage immigrants to perform the parent, and to provide practical materials that reflect the vocabulary of the context of infant parenting in the development of Korean textbooks for marriage immigrants and the composition of educational programs for marriage immigrants.
