백자鉢 디자인에 관한 연구

About the Korean ceramics in the course of history white porcelain bowl as a bowl of today's practical usefulness as well as visual beauty in life itself, the decoration was very rich in its diversity and was meaningful.
In this study, rather than containing the modern meaning white porcelain bowl as part of his formative and practical visual center of the bowl and put in the production of white porcelain, we tried to maintain the traditional characteristics of the centric and formal appearance era of the Joseon Dynasty in the sense of our ancestors containing the look of white porcelain bowl.
While maintaining our traditional characteristics of the beautiful lines and stylized forms without a variety of decorative bowls, it expresses the outstanding artistry in the modern era from the view not only of the feeling but also of the design.
Stylized look of its own, the height or width, some adjustments, cobalt and decorated with black pigment, intaglio techniques, artificial decorative non-spinning wheel, the entire image, suitable for grilling a variety of forms without any attempt to change, this may appear the rich in the feeling of a bowl with beauty.
The pursuit of change itself using a conventional wheel with molding and the appropriate techniques finished with a natural form of the decoration, is a formative type which modern appearance is revealed.
I could feel a bit of the excellent national characteristics and self-esteem through the research process of changes in white porcelain with white porcelain bowl.
I think that further progress will be made if the effort can be maintained through the future experiments with a variety of ways to access and keeping the flow of our own sense.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

과거로부터 이어져 오는 백자발(鉢)은 기능, 형태, 크기에 따라 대접, 사발, 완, 푼주 등으로 다양하게 불리어져 오고 있으며, 우리나라의 민족적 특성과 함께 실생활의 용기로서의 실용적 면에서나 시각적인 즐거움을 주는 조형적 디자인 면에서도 시대의 변천에 관계없이 여전히 우리 문화의 정통성을 유지하면서 현대에 와서도 그 디자인의 우수성을 잃지 않고 있다.
발(鉢)은 시대 변화에 따라 다양하고 밀접하게 실생활에 쓰여지고 있는 용기 중에서도 가장 범위가 넓게 사용되고 있는 그릇이며, 기능적인 면에서도 그 크기가 다양하며 외부의 형태나 장식적인 기법에 있어서도 그 범위가 매우 광범위한 그릇이다.
그러나 새로운 것을 추구하려는 인간의 욕구와 함께 발(鉢)도 다양한 예술적인 형태로 변화하기를 원하고 있는 현대에 와서도 조선시대에 와서의 백자로서의 발(鉢)은 장식을 배제한 꾸밈이 없는 설백색의 색조와 형태만으로도 현대의 감각적 ,시각적인 면을 능가하는 아름다움을 표출하고 있다. 그 높은 조형 의식은 조선인이 가지고 있는 절제하는 마음의 덕목이며 순수함 그 자체이고, 오랜 전통을 이어온 한복의 전통적 아름다운 곡선이나 한옥의 건축 양식에서 볼 수 있는 아름다운 선이 그릇 자체에 품어져 나오는 것은 오랜 역사 속에서 불필요함을 걸러져 이어온 세련된 높은 수준의 미를 엿 볼 수 있다. 특히 크고 장중한 조선 초기의 백자 발(鉢)의 정제된 형태의 발(鉢)은 우아한 곡선, 눈부시게 하얀 유색으로 격조 높은 아름다움을 만끽 할 수 있다
본 연구에서는 오늘날 우리 실생활에 다양하게 쓰여 지며 그 적용 범위 또한 넓으며, 시대적인 변화에도 불구하고 아름다운 전통의 한국의 선을 나타내고 있는 전통의 고유함을 유지하고 있는 백자 발(鉢)의 형태에 대해 관심을 갖고 제작 하고자 한다.
이번 제작한 발(鉢)의 형태와 크기는 대체적으로 안정감 있는 전통적인 조선 초기의 크고 장중한 왕사발의 형태에 기초를 두었으며, 일상에서도 용이하게 사용할 수 있는 적절한 크기의 용기로서의 편리성을 강조한 형태라기보다 시각적으로나 장식적인 면을 강조한 한국 고유의 느낌을 유지하면서도 문화적인 전통성을 강조하는데 중점을 두고자 한다.
이를 바탕으로, 물레를 이용하여 과거 백자발의 정연한 모습의 중심을 두고 단순하면서도 부드러운 곡선을 유지하면서 측면에서 보여지는 외형의 자연스러운 선을 통하여 조형미가 있는 백자의 넉넉하고 풍요한 느낌이 나도록 표현 하였다.
따라서 본 연구는 우리 조상들이 남긴 여러 가지 형태의 발(鉢)중에서 순백자만이 지닐 수 있는 고유의 미색과 외부의 간결한 선은 전통미를 유지하면서도 디자인 면에서도 시대적으로도 우수함이 있음을 표현하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다.
