For this purpose participants were 296 of housewife from thirties to fifties, who take part in dance sport programs implemented by the social education institutes in In-cheon, and non-participants were 261 of housewife from thirties to fifties who do not take part in the dance sport programs.
The questionaire intended to measure the life satisfaction associated with the participation in dance sport programs, consisted of the personal background, the reason for participation and the level of satisfaction, and the levels of the life satisfaction.
The statistical analysis methods for the data collected of this study were %, ANOVA and T-test.
The results of the examination of the difference in the life satisfaction taken through the above methods and procedures, depending on whether of not they participate in dance sport programs, led to the following conclusion.
First, as shown in the socio-demographic characteristics, participants did not reveal meaningful difference age, academic background, and occupation, whereas they revealed meaningful difference in age, they did meaningful difference in academic background, occupation, and monthly income.
Second, for the difference in the life satisfaction factor according to participation frequency, those who participate 5-6 times a week are most satisfied in a physiological factor, a psychological factor and an educational factor, and those who participate 3-4 times a week in a social factor.
For the difference in the life satisfaction factor according to participation time, those who participate more than 2 hours are most satisfied in a physiological factor, a psychological factor and those who participate for less than 1 hour in an economical factor.
For the difference in the life satisfaction factor according to participation period, those who participate for more than 1 year are most satisfied in a physiological factor, an economical factor, a social factor, and an educational factor, and those who participate for 7-12 months in a psychological factor.
Third, participants had higher life satisfaction than non-participants had.
