    The purpose of this study was to identity the relationships between intelligence and executive function of young children. The subjects of the study were 115, 5 and 6-year-old children from the kindergarten or daycare center in Busan. The tests was conducts by using K-WPPSI, stroop task, Wisconsin card sorting test, digit span and tower of Hanoi task for young children. The study have used two independent t-test to find out the difference of executive function according to age and applied Pearson product-moment correlation to find out relation between intelligence and executive function. The results of the study were as follow; first, there wasn`t significantly difference inhibition or shifting but was significantly difference multi-working memory or planning between age 5 and 6. Second, the inhibition were significantly positively correlated to geometric design, block design, mazes, information and vocabulary at age 6 but weren`t significantly correlated to intelligence at age 5. The shifting were significantly positively correlated to geometric design, mazes, and arithmetic(in Number Test) at age 5, and geometric design at age 6. The simple working memory were significantly positively correlated to geometric design and arithmetic at age 5, but were significantly negatively correlated to geometric design at age 6. The multi-working memory were significantly positively correlated to geometric design, arithmetic at age 5, and geometric design, similarities at age 6. The planning were significantly positively correlated to block design, sentences at age 5, 6. Therefore, there was a close relation between intelligence and executive function of young children.
