조손가정 조부모의 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 : A Study of the Factors Influencing Life Satisfaction of Grandparent Rasing Grandchildren

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리 사회는 급속한 사회구조의 변화로 인해 가족해체가 점차 증가하고 있다. 즉 전통적인 가족주의의 쇠퇴, 핵가족화 현상과 개인주의적 가치관의 형성. 가족가치관의 변화등은 가족 및 친척의 유대 약화, 가족구성원간의 역할 및 기능변화, 가족구성원간의 갈등 심화, 부모의 사망과 이혼 등의 가족해체 및 결손가족을 유발하고 있다. 그리고 가족변화는 구조적, 기능적, 가족관계 측면에서 나타나고 있으며, 매우 빠른 속도로 진행되고 있다. 그 결과 한부모가구, 소년소녀가장가구, 노인 1인가구, 청장년 1인가구, 조부모-손자녀가구 등 다양한 해체가구의 유형이 증가하고 있다.(김유경 2001: 변화순.2002)
이런 다양한 형태의 가정 중에서 많은 조부모-손자녀 가정을 발견할 수 있다.
조손가정은 새롭게 부각되는 가족형태이면서 아직도 관심의 사각지대에서 체계화된 복지적 지원을 받지 못하고 있는 약자들이다. 조손가정의 구성원들은 모두 생활주체로서 적합하지 않은 위치에 있는 사람들이다.
노인은 신체적으로 더 이상 노동을 할 수 없는 위치에 있고, 손자녀들은 아직도 정상적인 사회활동을 할 수 있는 준비가 덜 된 위치에 있다. 따라서 이런 대상들이 모여서 한 가족을 이루고 있는 조손가정은 당연히 더 세심한 관심과 지원이 필요할 것이다.
그러나 우리나라에서는 조손가정에 대한 연구가 최근에서야 시작되고 있는 단계로서 손자녀에 대한 조부모의 영향이나 조부모 역할 유형 등을 살펴본 아동학분야의 연구를 통해 조부모에 대한 정보를 찾아보는 정도로 미흡하며 이들에 대한 기본적인 정보조차 충분히 제공되지 못하고 있는 실정이다.

특히 조부모들이 자신의 생활에 얼마나 만족하느냐 하는 삶의 질적인 문제는 조부모 자신의 삶을 넘어 손자녀의 삶에도 지대한 영향을 미치기 때문에 조손가정을 논의하는 데 있어서 조부모의 생활만족도는 중요한 주제 일 수밖에 없다(Crinc & Greenberg,1990). 즉 조손가정 조부모의 심리상태 혹은 고통으로 인해 손자녀를 학대하고 방임할 수 있는 여건을 높이기도 하고 반대로 조부모들이 부모로부터 가족해체나 학대 및 방임을 경험 한 손자녀들에게 대입함으로써 손자녀의 심리적 안녕과 사회적 적응에 긍정적인 영향을 끼치기도 한다(Minkler,1995; Solomon & Marx,1995)이처럼 조부모의 생활만족도는 조손가정의 안정과 가족 구성원들의 안녕감에 시발점이 된다고 볼 수 있다.
따라서 본 연구에서는 조손가정 조부모의 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지 파악하고자 하며, 이렇게 도출된 연구결과는 조손가정에 대한 이해를 넓히고, 손자녀의 양육을 맡고 있는 조부모의 생활만족도를 지원 하는 정책과 프로그램에 기초자료를 제시할 수 있을 것으로 본다.
이러한 목적을 위해, 본연구의 조사대상자는 성인자녀들이 이혼, 사별, 질병 등으로 부모 역할을 하지 못하여 손자녀를 대리 양육하는 경우로 현재 조부모와 손자녀가 함께 동거하면서 조부모가 일차적인 양육책임을 맡고 있는 서울시내에 살고 있는 조손가정의 실제양육자인 조부모를 대상으로 하였다. 서울 시내의 사회복지기관 12곳의 실무자의 협조하에 방문하여 설문을 받았다. 조사대상자의 인구사회학적 요인과 가족생활사건, 조부모에 대한 손자녀의 지지수준, 사회적 지원 및 생활만족도 수준을 파악하였으며, 생활만족도에 대하여 각 요인에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 다중회기분석을 실시하였다.
이러한 연구절차를 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다.
생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인의 순위는 양육스트레스, 가족생활사건 발생빈도, 손자녀의 지지 순으로 나타났다. 조손가정 조부모가 종교가 없는 경우보다 있는 경우, 배우자가 없는 경우보다 있는 경우, 소득원이 주변의 지원인 경우보다 본인이 버는 경우, 건강상태가 좋고 손자녀의 지지와 사회적 지원이 높으면 생활만족도도 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 손자녀의 양육기간이 길고 가족생활 사건 발생 빈도가 높고 양육스트레스가 높으면 생활만족도는 낮음을 알 수 있다.
본 연구결과를 토대로 조손가정 조부모의 생활만족도를 높이기 위한 실천적 제언은 다음과 같다.
소득수준의 안정은 기본적인 토대로 보여진다. 때문에 조손가정의 소득수준을 안정화시키기 위해 경제적 지원을 실시하여야 한다. 그러나 위의 연구에서 보여진 것처럼 무조건적인 경제적지원이 아니라, 그들 스스로가 자립적으로 수입을 얻을 수 있는 방법을 통해 이루어져야 할 것이다. 조부모가 참여할 수 있는 일자리 활성화 및 성장시기별 손자녀 아르바이트 주선을 통하여 조손가구 구성원들이 사회참여의 기회를 제공하는 방안을 강구해야 한다.
또한 조부모에 대한 소자녀의 지지가 조부모의 생활만족도를 높이므로 보다 효율적인 손자녀 지지가 이루어 질 수 있도록 지지의 주체인 손자녀에 대한 사회적지원과 조부모 관계 강화 및 부양자 교육을 강화하는 방법을 함께 모색해야 한다.

A Study of the Factors Influencing Life Satisfaction of Grandparent Rasing Grandchildren.

The our society family dismantling by changes of fast social structure is increasing gradually.
That is, formation of declination of traditional family warning, nuclear family anger phenomenon and individualism sense of value formation. Changes of family sense of value etc. are causing family dismantling such as families and related relation weakening, role between family members and a functional change, trouble heartburning between family members, death of parents and a divorce etc. and deficit family.
And a family change is given in the family value total sides that structural, is functional, and it is proceeded by a speed fast very.
Therefore parents household, a children heads of family household, an old man one person household, a director of a government office year one person household, a type of various dismantling households such as grandparents - grandchildren household to have made is increasing.(Kim Yu Gyeong 2001 : Byun Hwa Sun 2002)
That can find a lot of grandparents - grandchildren families among homes of these various forms.
Grandparents-grandchildren family is the abbreviations which cannot get yet from a few assistances while being the family form that newly highlighted whether or not there is the swellfish which it was organized in square ground rents of an interest. Members of grandparents-grandchildren family are people in a situation unsuitable all as the life subjects.

Specially, own grandparents a quality of life issue to do how long grandparents are satisfied to own life boil it exceed it, and is great to life of grandchildren the important subject cannot but rise that there is it to grandparents-grandchildren family in discussing it as affect it, and family turned around a life of grandparents only (Crinc & Greenberg,1990).
That is, cause an influence to be positive to peace to be psychological of grandchildren to the grandchildren which raise trial state of grandparents-grandchildren family grandparents or the conditions that treat grandchildren by sufferings cruelly, and can let alone, and reverse grandparents experience family dismantling or cruel treatments and noninterference from parents, and did it and social adaptation (Minkler,1995; Solomon & Marx,1995) In this way it goes to peace of stable family members of grandparents-grandchildren family that family turned to a life of grandparents only, and becomes it.
Therefore, factors to affect to life satisfaction of grandparents-grandchildren family grandparents will grasp what there is, and can present a basic data in policy program to do assistance, and see life satisfaction of the grandparents whom the result of research which was derived in this way enlarges understanding regarding grandparents-grandchildren family, and is keeping bringing-up of grandchildren in this study.
For these purpose, the investigation object targeted the grandparents who were a breeder actual of the grandparents-grandchildren family which grandparents were living to Seoul keeping primary bringing-up responsibility while the current grandparents and grandchildren cohabited together with a case they acted for grandchildren, adult children divorced and to feed you as they cannot play parents by bereavement, and a disease etc.
It got from questionnaire as visited under cooperation of a working-level official of social welfare facilities 12 places of Seoul downtown. Family grasped a level by population sociological factors and family life accident of the investigation object, a support level of grandchildren regarding grandparents, social assistances and life only, and executed multi-session analysis in order to recognize an influence to be mad to each factors about life satisfaction. It derived from the following results through this study procedures.
Ranking pan-fried it of bringing-up stress, family life accident occurrence frequency, grandchildren, and it appeared in order.
If there are grandparents in grandparents-grandchildren family than cases without a religion, can know a lowness that there is it than cases without a spouse, and an income source appeared to high things even if the person oneself makes it than the cases that are surrounding assistance, and health state is good, and family turn around a life only if a support of grandchildren and social assistance are high, and a bringing-up period of grandchildren is long, and family life accident occurrence frequency is high, and family turned around a life only if bringing-up stress is high.
Practical proposal to raise life satisfaction of grandparents-grandchildren family by a foundation to this result of research is as follows.
It looked by a stable basic foundation of an income level. That shall execute economic assistance in order to let you stabilize an income level of grandparents-grandchildren family.
But it should consist unconditionally through ways they are independent, and to be able to get income not being circles whether or not economic that are an enemy as looked in the above study.
Grandparents-grandchildren family members shall devise a plan to provide an opportunity of social participation through grandchildren part-time job recommendation by the job activation and growth times that grandparents can participate in.
Also, a support of grandchildren regarding grandparents raises life satisfaction of grandparents and an efficient grandchildren support achieves it, and you shall grope together for a way to strengthen social assistance and grandparents related enhancement and provider education regarding the grandchildren which is the subject of a support in quality.
