- The object of this research is to examine the influence participating motive of university badminton group participants has on leisure satisfaction closely, and provide the preliminary data to contribute to the healthy sports culture of university students.
- To attain this object, I randomly selected 300 group students in 6 universities located in Seoul and 4 universities located in Gyeonggi Province, which were four-year colleges that had over 25 badminton group participants, as samples on April 2007.
- After handing out questionnaires to 300 students, I got back a total of 271. The other 29 were judged as data which were responded insincerely, and were excepted. Data that were used in the actual analysis were the 271, 142 men and 129 women.
- Frequency analysis was carried out to investigate the social demographic characteristics of university badminton group participants. Depending on the social demographic characteristics, independent t-test and one-way ANOVA analysis were carried out to investigate the difference of participating motive, participating standard, and leisure satisfaction. If there was a statistically heedful difference, Tukey multiple test was carried out. Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were carried out to investigate the effects on leisure satisfaction according to the participating motive and participating standard.
