청소년의 창업 의지에 영향을 미치는 요인 = Determinants of Entrepreneurial Intention of Korean Youth

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper analyzes the main factors that influence the entrepreneurial intentions of Korean middle and high school students. The data collected by NYPI(National Youth Policy Institute) reveals that incorrect and insufficient information about start-up a business tends to make students reluctant to be self-employed. Multiple regression models show that GPA, start-up mind, self-employment status of parents, attitude to the entrepreneurship education, need for achievement, tendency of taking risk, power distance, masculinity, uncertainty avoidance, and action oriented strategy are statistically significant in determining the intention of students, whereas gender and experience of entrepreneurship education are insignificant. Education putting more emphasis on start-up procedure, raising fund, identifying promising industries, and generating a positive attitude toward a start-up will contribute to entrepreneurial intention as well as start-up competency of students.
