The purpose of this study was to suggest the tasks for the promotion of entrepreneurship education in teenager working. Individual characteristic of preliminary founders has been considered as a prime factor for entrepreneurial knowledge and intentions. This study explored the relationship between three individual characteristics, need for achievement, internal locus of control, self-efficacy, and entrepreneurial intentions.
Data were gathered from 300 questionnaires delivered to 7 vocational high schools in JinJu. Entrepreneurial intentions were found to be significantly associated with need for achievement, internal locus of control, and self-efficacy. The results of regression analysis revealed that each of three individual characteristics variables explained unique portion of the variance in entrepreneurial intentions.
Consequently, giving a learning motivation and developing of self-efficacy are very important to promote entrepreneurship education. To support this result, systematic entrepreneurship education and the opportunity of training will be provided.
