멸종위기종 다큐멘터리 기반 수업이 초등학생의 환경감수성에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of Endangered Species Documentary Based Classes on Environmental Sensitivity of Elementary School Students

The purpose of this study was to develop a endangered species documentary - based environment education program and to apply it to the actual class for elementary school sixth graders. Therefore, I tried to examine the effect of endangered species documentary-based classes on environmental sensitivity of elementary school students.
In order to accomplish the purpose of the study, we selected documentaries that correspond to nature / ecology of EBS DocuPrime. And we developed the environmental education program based on the editing and reconstruction of the documentary considering the development stage and the learning level of the 6th grade elementary school students. The developed program was applied to the one class of sixth grade of elementary school in Icheon city for 10 weeks, and the other class was not used.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the Korean endangered species documentary based classes on the environmental sensitivity. Quantitative analysis of the study was performed using the SPSS 22.0 program. The questionnaire was developed by Kim Ji-yeon (2016) based on the research of Lee Jae-bung and Lee Du-gon(2006).
The conclusions of this study are as follows.
First, the endangered species documentary based classes tend to have a positive impact on environmental sensitivity. Compared with the control group, the experimental group showed a larger increase in the pre - and post - environmental sensitivity.
Second, the endangered species documentary based classes positively affected environmental degradation and environmental pollution. As a result of covariance analysis for each area, there were statistically significant differences in environmental destruction and environmental pollution.
In conclusion, the endangered species documentary based classes is effective in promoting environmental sensitivity of sixth grade elementary school. Therefore, the systematic application of the endangered species documentary based instruction in elementary school and the follow - up study are needed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학교 6학년 학생들을 대상으로 국내 멸종위기종 다큐멘터리 기반 환경교육 프로그램을 개발하여 이를 실제 수업에 적용하였다. 그로 인하여 국내 멸종위기종 다큐멘터리 기반 수업이 초등학생들의 환경감수성에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 하였다.
연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 EBS 다큐프라임 중 자연과 생태 영역에 해당하는 다큐멘터리들을 학습 소재로 선정하였다. 그리고 초등학교 6학년 학생의 발달 단계와 학습 수준을 고려하여 다큐멘터리를 편집 및 재구성하여 이를 바탕으로 수업안을 구성하였다. 이천시 소재의 초등학교 6학년 1개 반에는 구성한 수업을 10차시에 걸쳐 적용하고, 다른 1개 반에는 미적용하여 사전・사후 비교 검증을 하였다.
본 연구에서 개발된 국내 멸종위기종 다큐멘터리 기반 수업이 학생들의 환경감수성에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 사전・사후 검사를 실시하였다. 연구의 정량적 분석은 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하여 공분산분석을 하였다. 검사지는 이재붕, 이두곤(2006)의 연구를 바탕으로 김지연(2016)이 개발한 설문지를 활용하였다.
본 연구를 통하여 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 멸종위기종 다큐멘터리 기반 수업은 환경감수성 증진에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 경향이 있다. 비교집단에 비하여 실험집단이 사전·사후 환경감수성 평균점수의 상승 폭이 더 컸다.
둘째, 멸종위기종 다큐멘터리 기반 수업이 환경감수성의 환경 파괴, 환경오염 영역에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 각 영역별 공분산분석 결과 환경 파괴, 환경오염 영역에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다.
결론적으로, 초등학교 6학년 학생에게 멸종위기종 다큐멘터리 기반 수업은 환경감수성 증진에 효과적이라고 할 수 있다. 그러므로 초등학교에서 멸종위기종 다큐멘터리 기반 수업의 체계적 적용과 이를 위한 후속 연구가 필요하다.
