장자의 ‘성심(成心)’ 초월과 여성주의상담 원리의 상관성 연구 = A Study on the Correlation between Chuang-tzu’s ‘Sungshim’ Transcendence and the Principles of Feminist Counseling

Chuang-tzu’s ‘Sungshim(social norm)’ is supposed to a cause of client’s psychological pain and an obstacle of feminist counseling process. Although a number of clients are women in Korea, many counselors in the field of counseling are unaware of themselves that have internalized the patriarchal beliefs. Thus many psychological problems of women are diagnosed with pathology by them without considering the various social conditions. In this situation, first, we considered how ‘Sungshim’ acts in the relationship between counselors and clients. All members of the human community are relying on ‘Sungshim’, the internalized social norm, and counselors are no exception to the rule. Therefore It is important for clients and counselors to reflect themselves, as even counselors cannot escape from ‘Sungshim’. Second, the study noted the correlation between ‘Sungshim’ transcendence and the principles of feminist counseling. Gender role stereotypes, the minority exclusion and gender discrimination are deep-rooted ‘Sungshim’ in our society. Feminist counseling and Chuang-tzu’s thought are similar in the respect of the deconstruction of dichotomous worldviews​​, the respect for pluralism, and the equality of the relationship. Thus, Contextual relevance between feminist counseling and Chuang-tzu’s thought could be confirmed. Finally, The study considered the possibility of combining Chuang-tzu’s transcendental thought and feminist counseling.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

장자의 ‘성심’은 일종의 고정관념으로, 내담자 고통의 원인이며 상담 과정을 방해하는 요인으로 지목될 수 있다. 한국 사회에는 많은 여성 내담자들이 있다. 하지만 상담가들 중 상당수는 내면화된 가부장적 신념으로 인해 여성의 심리적 문제를 사회적 조건과는 별개로 보고 개인의 병리로 진단하는 문제점을 드러내고 있다. 이런 상황에서 본 연구는 첫째, 성심이 상담자와 내담자 관계에서 어떻게 작용하는지를 탐색하였다. 인간 공동체의 성원은 누구든지 내면화된 사회적 규범인 성심에 의존하게 되며 상담자도 예외가 아니다. 이런 이유로 성심을 성찰하는 것은 상담자와 내담자 모두에게 중요한 과제가 될 것이다. 둘째, 성심초월과 여성주의상담의 상관성에 주목하여, 성역할 고정관념, 소수자 배제, 성차별 등 우리 사회의 뿌리 깊은 성심에 대하여 장자 철학과 여성주의상담 원리의 공통성을 중심으로 탐구하였다. 이로부터 이분법적 가치에 대한 태도, 다원성 존중, 관계의 평등이라는 원리적 유사성을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로, 장자의 초월적 사유가 여성주의상담에 접목 가능한지 살펴보았다.
