This study was conducted to analyze the characteristics of artificially deteriorated inkjet photographic papers and classify the manufacturing countries of each paper. A total of 63 samples were artificially deteriorated to simulate long-term natural deterioration, creating a chemically unstable state for analysis. Based on inkjet technology and chemical properties, FE-SEM was used to examine the cross-sectional layers and deterioration patterns of the papers, EDS was utilized to analyze the elemental composition, and FT-IR was employed to collect infrared spectrum data and identify significant peaks. Using the analysis data, PLS-DA was applied to reduce the dimensionality, find correlations between variables, and then use LDA to create a classification model. Lastly, photo paper produced 20 years ago was analyzed in the same way and used as past sample data to confirm the possibility of classification by country of manufacture. As a result, the model's high classification and prediction accuracy was confirmed. And important features that contributed to classification were derived. These results are expected to be used as basic data in photo preservation and restoration.
