고등학생의 학업스트레스와
신체화 증상 및 내외통제성의 관계

본 연구에서는 고등학생의 학업스트레스와 신체화 증상에 대해 알아보고, 학업스트레스와 신체화 증상에 있어서 내외통제성의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울과 경기도 지역에 소재하는 고등학교에 재학하는 남ㆍ녀 학생 736명이며, 자료는 학업스트레스와 내외통제성, 신체화 증상에 관하여 설문조사하였다. 분석을 위해서는 연구목적에 따라 SPSS 17.0을 이용하여 기술통계 분석, t-검정, 상관분석, 중다회귀분석, 위계적 중다회귀분석 등의 방법을 사용하였다.

본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 학업스트레스의 수준에 따른 신체화 증상의 차이를 검증한 결과 학업스트레스를 많이 받을수록 신체화 증상이 많이 나타났다.
둘째, 내외통제성의 수준에 따른 신체화 증상의 차이를 검증한 결과 외적통제 성향을 보이는 집단에서 내적통제 성향을 보이는 집단보다 신체화 증상이 많이 나타났다.
셋째, 내외통제성의 수준에 따른 학업스트레스의 차이를 검증한 결과 외적통제 성향을 보이는 집단에서 내적통제 성향을 보이는 집단보다 학업스트레스가 많이 나타났다.
넷째, 내외통제성이 학업스트레스와 신체화 증상에 있어서 매개역할을 하는지 검증한 결과, 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다.

ABSTRACT

A study on relationship between high school student's academic stress , somatization symptoms and internal-external locus of control.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between high school student's academic stress and somatization symptoms. Also, it was to verify the mediating effect of internal-external locus of control.

A sample of 736 high school students in Seoul and Gyeonggido filled out questionnaires on academic stress, internal-external locus of control, and somatization symptoms.

Descriptive statistical analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical multiple regression methods using SPSS 17.0 were used to analyze the data.

The results of the study are as follows.

First, after examining the difference of somatization symptoms depending on the level of academic stress, it shows that the higher academic stress the groups have, the more somatization symptoms they have.

Second, after examining the difference of somatization symptoms depending on the level of internal-external locus of control, it shows that the external control-oriented group have more somatization symptoms than the internal control-oriented group.

Third, after examining the difference of academic stress depending on level of internal-external locus of control, it shows that external control-oriented group have more academic stress than the internal control-oriented group.

Finally, the examination on whether internal-external locus of control plays a mediation role in academic stress and somatization symptoms resulted in that it plays as a partial mediation.
