DEA Window Analysis 모형 적용을 통한 컨벤션 호텔의 경영효율성 평가와 개선방안에 관한 연구 = A research on management efficiency evaluation and improvement plan of convention hotel by applying DEA Window Analysis Model

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this research is to analyze the utility and trend of 9 conventional hotels in Seoul by applying DEA Window Analysis data from 2009 to 2013. First, we need to diversify the composition of sales products to account for over 60%, for that we must strengthen marketing activities. Looking at the case of RIT (Ritz-Carlton Seoul) of Best-Practice of this study, nearly 70% sales of facilities are realized through various incidental facilities. In other words, it is necessary to diversify facilities so that guests consume more in the hotel. Secondly, since it is directly influencing and continuing to make greater efforts, marketing and costs needs to increase. Some hotels in the ineffective case were evaluated as spending money unwisely and not putting in enough time and money into marketing. Finally, we must continuously manage variables that will become the direct cause to the growth of total sales. The RITZ (Carlton Seoul) which was the most efficient in the absolute value model was the most comparatively efficient even in the percentage model because they were managing efficiently. In conclusion, a hotel that was evaluated as an inefficient hotel, if they establish a more systematic and concrete strategy they will be able to convert in to a highly efficient hotel.
