환경교육실무자 핵심직무역량 연구 = Need analysis on job competencies of environmental education personnel

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Various solutions and policies have been suggested to solve environmental problems and lot of environment education programs are provided to the publics. However, there is relatively short knowledge on developing competencies of environmental education personnels. Thus, the purpose of this study is to analyze needs of environmental education personnel in order to develop their job competencies.
The study performed educational needs assessment on personnels’ job competencies, incorporating the 103 returned surveys. Tri-level analysis approach was employed and utilized a paired T-test, the Borich needs assessment model, and The Locus for Focus model to identify the educational needs and priorities of environmental education personnel.
The first conclusion of this study, the results of the paired T-test show that there is a significant difference between the current competency level and the required standard.
Second, through the Borich needs assessment and The Locus for Focus model analysis, the following variables are identified as the highest priorities for environmental education personnels’ job competency: ‘environment education planning’, ‘environment education management’. And secondary priority job competency was ‘environment education program development’, ‘environment education evaluation. The survey participants state that they need the environmental education planning the most and administrative tasks the least.
This study of result presented in this study suggests that providing professional development for environmental education personnel`s may contribute to the effectiveness of environmental education program and education vision. Also, this study points to the value of reflecting the personnel’s highest task priorities and needs in professional development programs.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

전 세계적으로 자연 생태계 파괴에 따른 심각한 문제들에 봉착하게 되면서 환경 교육의 중요성은 그 어느 때보다 강조되고 있음에도 불구하고, 여러 기관에서 근무 하는 환경교육 담당 실무자들의 직무와 역량에 대한 체계는 정립되어 있지 않은 상황이다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 사회환경교육기관의 환경교육 실무자들의 핵심직 무역량을 도출하였다. 전국의 사회환경교육기관에서 근무경력 1년 이상인 120명의 환경교육 담당 실무자들을 대상으로 직무에 대한 Borich요구도 분석과 The Locus For focus Model을 통해 현재수준과 중요도 간의 차이를 분석하여 핵심직무역량을 규명하였다. 환경교육 실무자의 직무에 대한 업무별 Borich 요구도 공식과 The Locus for Focus 모델 분석결과, 최우선순위 역량으로 ‘환경교육 기획’, ‘환경교육 운영’으로 나타났고 차우선순위 역량으로는 ‘환경교육 프로그램 개발’, ‘환경교육 평가’ 로 규명되었다. 이중 요구도가 가장 높은 업무는 ‘환경교육 기획’업무이고, 실무자들이 중요수준을 가장 낮게 인식하는 업무는 ‘행정업무’로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 환경교육기관에서 근무하는 환경교육 실무자들의 역량개발을 위한 교육과정 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고, 환경교육의 미래 비전과 내실 있는 환경교육의 개발에 기여할 수 있는 시사점을 제안하였다.
