서울지역 육아지원센터의이용현황과 관련된 기초 연구 :어머니-영아 상호작용 및 영아발달을 중심으로 = Effects of Exclusive Parenting Support Center on Mother-Infant Interaction and Infant Development

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of exclusive parenting support center on mother-infant interaction and infant development over time. The participants of this study were 193 mother-infant dyads, and they were divided and assigned into the two subgroups: 1) 93 dyads of mothers and their infants who had been enrolled in the four parenting support centers in a local community, Seoul, Korea as an experimental group; and 2) 100 dyads of infant-mothers were included as a comparison group. The subjects were asked to administer Parenting Stress Index(PSI) and Infant Development(DEP), and mother-infant interaction(NICHD) were observed by trained researchers. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, t-tests. and paired t-tests. The primary findings of this study were as follows. First, parenting stress levels of mothers from an experiment group were more significantly decreased than those of a comparison group. Also, infants' development outcomes were more improved as compared with those of a comparison group. Paired t-tests indicated that the mother-infant interaction was significantly improved over time with an experiment group of mothers. Along with the main results of this study, implications for research and practice were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 서울시 G구에서 운영하는 육아지원센터의 이용자 93명과 미이용자 100명을 대상으로 센터 이용 현황, 만족도 및 요구도를 조사하였으며, 또한 현재 센터를 이용하는 이용자 및 미이용자의 주 양육자 애착 양육스트레스 수준, 영아 발달을 비교 분석하였다. 나아가 사전 조사 이후 3개월이 경과한 시점에서 육아지원센터 이용자의 어머니-영아 상호작용과 영아 발달의 변화를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 수집된 자료는 빈도분석, 기술통계, 대응표본 t 검증으로 분석되었다. 본 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구대상은 자유놀이실 이용이 가장 많았으며, 요구도 및 이용하는 이유에서 센터의 접근성과 관련된 응답이 가장 많았다. 둘째, 이용 집단과 미이용 집단 간의 양육 스트레스, 애착, 영아 발달에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 셋째, 육아지원센터의 이용자는 사전 검사에 비해 사후 검사에서 어머니-영아 상호작용과 영아의 인지 발달에 긍정적인 변화가 나타났다. 본 연구의 주요 결과를 바탕으로 향후 개별 맞춤형 육아지원서비스를 제공하는데 기초자료를 제공하고, 향후 육아지원센터 사업이 지향해야 할 방향을 모색하는데 실증적인 근거를 제공하고자 하였다.
