This study focuses on the actual conditions of old age welfare facilities and their improving proposals.
The consolidation of welfare facilities protection for the aged for promoting the welfare of the aged, the development of self-support ability of the aged, the strengthening of family function and the welfare function of the community and the expansion of social security in the national level. In the side of the guarantee of the life worthy of man, it is thought that the most weak part is the protection of welfare facilities for the aged, because the facilities to the aged who lived in the facilities are like their home and are the places. where they conclude their lives.
The protection level and the variety of the environment of the welfare facilities for the aged that have a great importance are in very poor conditions. Therefore, in the part of the welfare facilities for the aged of this study, the necessity and the developmental process of the facilities and the actual conditions of the Facility protection and the improving methods are centrally treated.
This study, therefore, explains the understanding of the disorder, the developmental process of the facilities for old age people, the theoretical value of the welfare for them centering around the actual conditions and the improving methods of the facilities. it is fact that the continuous study of the operation of the social welfare facilities in Korea should be added. Moreover, the enlightening study and effort are required for promoting more higher improvements that consider our reality. Thus, this study is a attempt for corresponding such an effort.
