대학교원의 교수능력 개발을 위한 학습공동체 프로그램 분석 = Survey of Awareness about Faculty Learning Community Program on Teaching Improvement

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 대학교원의 교수능력 개발을 위한 학습공동체 프로그램을 분석하고 이에 대한 참여자들의 인식을 조사하여 학습공동체 프로그램을 활용한 대학교원 교육의 가능성을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 학습공동체에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위해서 우리나라 대학에서 이 프로그램을 처음으로 시도하고, 활발히 운영하고 있는 D대 학교의 프로그램을 분석하였다.
연구방법은 설문조사, 인터뷰, 자료 분석 방법을 사용하였다. 먼저, 관련자료 분석을 통해서 프로그램의 실시 배경 및 프로그램의 내용 등을 조사하였다. 그리고 이 프로그램에 참여한 대학교원을 대상으로 설문조사 및 인터뷰 조사플 실시하고, 자료플 분석하였다. 통계분석을 위해 사용한 프로그램은 SPSS프로그램이었고, 분석방법은 기술통계, 빈도분석, 분산분석, Scheffe의 사후분석 방법이었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 대학교원의 학습공동체는 전반적으로 효과적이나(평균 4.30점，5점 만점), 운영적인 면에서는 보완해야 하는 부분이 있는 것으로 나타났다(평균 3.79점) .
둘째, 학습공동체에 참여한 교수들 대부분은 자발적으로 참여하였고(평균 4.54점) , 2회 이상 참여한 교수들은 전체의 43%(50명)을 차지한다.
셋째, 교수 집단간의 차이를 분석한 결과, 참여한 교수틀 중 강의경력이 4-7년 된 교수 집단이 다른 집단에 비해 전반적으로 학습공동체를 유용하다고 생각하는 것으로 나타났다.
연구결과 학습공동체는 대학교원을 위한 유용한 교수능력개발 프로그램으로 정착될 가능성을 충분히 갖고 있었다. 학습공동체는 참여자들에게 동료에게서 배울 수 있는 기회를 제공하였고, 실제적인 지식을 습득하도록 하였으며, 배운 지식을 자신의 강의에 활용하도록 하는 의지를 고취시켰다. 특히, 전공별로 적합한 교수법 연구 및 개발, 교재개발 등이 이루어졌다.
이 연구결과를 토대로 대학교원의 교수능력 개발을 위한 학습공동제 운영에 대해 몇 가지 제언을 하고자 한다. 대학교원의 교수능력 개발을 위한 학습공동체를 운영할 때는 대학교원의 자율성을 보장하여 불필요한 행정절차를 간소화하는 것이 필요하다. 또한, 적절한 재정지원을 통해 공동체에서 목표로 한 일을 살행하도록 돕는 것도 중요하다. 그리고 참여자의 자발성 및 동료들 간의 협력 등 비물질적 요인이 공동체 운영의 실제적인 요소임을 기억할 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explored the responses and awareness of faculty learning community program participants from 2006 to 2009 at D· university in Korea. One hundred sixteen professors have been involved in this program, their responses were analyzed both quantitative and qualitative analysis method; survey and interview of participants.
Learning Community is the learning method and knowledge management strategy which is actively attempted for collaborative learning and creation and sharing of actual knowledge.
The results of participants' interview and the survey analysis were very positive. The findings and recommendations of this study were as follows: 1) The results of participants survey, the satisfaction and recommendation intention of this program participant professors were very high(4.30 points). But, the management of this program was not satisfaction(3.79 points). 2) The participants were involved in the program spontaneously(4.54 points, 92% of total participants) and forty three percent of the total participants were take part in twice and over. 3) The faculty group that has 4~7years lecture experiences has thought that learning community's more useful than any other group. They have learned more new teaching method in learning community and regarded their colleagues as necessary companion.
From the results of the analysis, the followings can be suggested for leaming community program for University faculty. 1) The learning community program is useful to university faculty. 2) It's needed to Simple procedure of learning community management and discriminatory of the budget support.
