성인 의사소통기능 설문평가 = 예비연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study was to know the functional communication ability for Korean adults. For this purpose, the Communicative Effectiveness Index(CETI) (Lomas et al., 1989) was translated and modified by the speech pathologists, whom are specified in the field of the adults with communication disorders. The modified version of CETI includes 16 items of different questions for communicative ability with 5-point rating scale. 142 adults with normal communication ability and 19 aphasic people responded to those questions. The results showed that the total mean scores of the adults with normal communication ability was 58.8(SD=10.6), and 39.2(SD=12.4) for the aphasic people. There were no significant differences between the males and the females within the normal speakers. But three items of the 16 questions showed the significant differences among three groups of different ages(30, 50, and 70 years of age). The differences between the normal and aphasic groups were statistically large in four groups of the normal speakers(30-40, 50, 60, and 70 years of age). There was a statistically significant correlation between each of the 14-item questions and the total scores(r=0.545-0.767, p<0.01). The 10-pair questions appeared to have a significant relationship within itself(r=0.503-0.587, p<0.01).
