도덕적 이탈과 사이버불링의 관계 : 부모감독과 또래압력의 조절효과

This study examined the moderating effects of parental monitoring and peer pressure on the relationship between moral disengagement and cyberbullying. A total 312 middle school students(137 boys and 175 girls) participated in the study. The data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistic and hierarchical regressions. The results are as follow. First, there were significant positive correlations between moral disengagement and cyberbullying. Second, parental monitoring didn’t have moderating effect in the relationship between moral disengagement and cyberbullying. Third, peer pressure had moderating effect in the relationship between moral disengagement and cyberbullying. That is, the influence of moral disengagement on cyberbullying was greater when peer pressure was low, compare to when it was high. These findings suggest that programs to prevent cyberbullying need to include other interventions depending on the level of moral disengagement.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 도덕적 이탈이 사이버불링에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 나아가 도덕적 이탈과 사이버불링의 관계에서 부모감독과 또래압력의 조절효과를 알아보았다. 설문지 조사를 통해 312명의 남 여 중학생 자료가 수집되었고, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하여 조절효과를 검증하였다. 분석 결과는 첫째, 도덕적 이탈은 사이버불링에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며, 도덕적 이탈이 높을수록 사이버불링 가해행동이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 부모감독은 사이버불링에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 또래압력은 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 도덕적 이탈과 사이버불링의 관계에서 부모감독의 조절효과는 유의미하게 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 도덕적 이탈과 사이버불링의 관계에서 또래압력의 조절효과는 유의미하게 나타났는데, 또래압력이 높을 때에는 도덕적 이탈 수준에 따라 사이버불링 가해행동에 큰 변화가 없었지만, 또래압력이 낮을 때에는 도덕적 이탈 수준이 높아짐에 따라서 사이버불링 가해행동이 증가하였다. 이러한 연구결과에 기초해 사이버불링에 미치는 부모감독, 또래압력의 영향이 불링과는 차별적일 가능성과 관련 설문지의 민감성에 대해 논의하였다.
