조각보의 문양과 색채를 활용한 초등미술 수업방안 연구 = A Study of Fine Arts Teaching Methods for Elementary School Utilizing the Patterns and Colors of Patchwork Wrapping Clothes(Jogakbo)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날의 사회는 문화다원주의를 지향하는 사회이다. 손쉽게 다른 나라의 정보를 접할 수 있고 문화가 다른 나라에 전파되는 과정 또한 예전과 달리 급속하고 즉각적이다. 문화다원주의의 사회에서 우리가 어떻게 교육을 해야 하는가 하는 문제는 실로 어렵다고 볼 수 있다. 이는 다양한 문화에 대한 소개뿐만 아니라 포용성과 문화에 대한 올바른 인식이 밑바탕에 깔려야 하기 때문이다. 문화에 대한 올바른 인식은 그 나라의 전통의식을 배움으로써 형성될 수 있다. 특히 미술과 관련한 문화유산은 과거에서 현재에 이르기까지 그 시대의 사회, 정서, 문화적 의미를 담고 전달하는 기능을 지닌다.
우리는 미술작품을 통하여 특정 시대의 정서와 의식, 종교 등의 다양한 삶의 결정체를 알 수 있으며 서구적 취향과 세계관에 치우친 학생들에게 다양한 문화를 바라보는 균형 있는 시각을 길러줄 수 있다. 본 연구는 우리의 전통 문화 중 아름다움과 실용성의 가치를 동시에 지닌 조각보 문양을 이용하여 학생들이 쉽고 즐겁게 전통문화를 받아들임과 동시에, 조각보가 가진 아름다운 색감과 무늬를 사용하여 학생들의 흥미와 창의력을 발현시킬 수 있는 미술 수업방안을 구현해 보는 데에 목적을 두었다. 우리의 학생들이 세계시민으로서 당당하게 살아가도록 하기 위해서는 먼저 우리의 문화를 올바르게 이해시키는 과정이 이루어져야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Today's society is the multiculturalism-oriented society. In this society of multiculturalism, it must be a really difficult matter how we have to engage in education. This is because not only simple introduction of
various cultures but also magnanimity and upright recognition of culture should be on the basis. Upright recognition of a culture can be formed by learning of traditional consciousness of the country. Especially, cultural heritages related with fine arts have a function to contain and deliver social, emotional, cultural meaning of its time from the past to thepresent. We are able to know the essence of various lives such as
emotion and consciousness, religion in a specific time through art works and it is able to cultivate balanced point of view to see various cultures for students who are biased to western tastes and world view. However,
in the current fine arts teaching at elementary schools, traditional fine arts are nearly not dealing or dealing very insignificantly. Fine arts teaching is operating under westernized fine arts education theory and
media, curriculum and actually, consideration of our own traditional fine arts is insufficient, too. We are in the situation of absolute lack in traditional fine arts related units or instruction, teaching methods and
contents with the reference materials and under these. Therefore, this study purposes that students can accept traditional cultures easily and pleasantly in use of the patterns of patchwork wrapping clothes(jogakbo
in Korean) which have both values of beauty and practicality out of our traditional cultures and also it attempts to realize a fine arts teaching method which can manifest student's interest and creativity in use of the beautiful colors and patterns contained in patchwork wrapping clothes. For our children able to lead their life proudly as global citizens, first of all, a process should be established so that they can understand our
cultures correctly. Also it needs to show continuous interest in our traditional works of art. Also in the field of education, it requires to present instruction, teaching methods to manifest creative ability of
children through systematic and interesting approaches. In the future, it expects that our own identity can be developed much more in use of various traditional works of art in the field of education so that the dignity and proud of students for our original cultures can be formed in their mind.
