申維翰의 『海游錄』 연구 = The Study on the HaeYuRok(海遊錄) of Shin Yu-Han(申維翰)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

  『海游錄』은 已亥通信使(1719년) 파견시 제술관으로 참여한 申維翰의 사행체험기이다. 이 글은 申維翰(1681~1752)의 『海游錄』을 형성 배경ㆍ서술 양상ㆍ내용상 특징 등으로 나누어 살핌으로써 통신사행에 있어서 『海游錄』의 가치를 재조명한 것이다.<BR>  『海游錄』의 외적인 형성 배경은 壬成통신사(1682년) 때 행해진 聘禮制度의 복귀로 인한 己亥통신사의 파견 결정이었다. 그리고 내적으로는 사행 참여의 긍지 및 소중한 체험을 기록하여 보존하고 과시하려는 申維翰의 개인적 욕구에서 비롯되었다.<BR>  『海游錄』의 서술 양상은 크게 세 가지로 나타났다. 첫째 일기와 시, 잡문 등 ‘다양한 양식의 혼합적 구성’, 둘째 새로운 노정의 숙박지와 望關禮를 행한 날 등을 중심으로 한 ‘중요 사건 중심의 집중적 서술’, 셋째 사행 체험을 보다 객관적이고 생동감 있게 전달하기 위한 ‘寫實的 묘사를 통한 체험의 객관성 확보’ 등이다.<BR>  『海游錄』의 내용상 특징으로는 渡日 전의 부정적인 선입견과 달리 성장하는 일본 문화에 대한 경계와 敬畏의 심정을 담기 시작하는 ‘對日 인식의 양면성’, 민간 구전가요를 樂府詩로 재구성한 데서 엿볼 수 있는 ‘특이한 풍속의 문학적 형상화’ 및 문학을 비롯하여 예능ㆍ생활문화에까지 미치는 ‘문화교류의 다양한 양상 반영’ 등으로 파악되었다.<BR>  이처럼 『海游錄』은 사행체험을 효과적으로 전달하기 위한 申維翰의 작가적 고민이 반영된 것임을 알 수 있다. 그 결과 申維翰은 『海游錄』을 통해 文才를 뽐낼 수 있었고, 통신사는 『海游錄』을 통해 한일 문화교류의 전형으로서 제 값어치를 인정받았다고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

  The HaeYuRok is the Sasinhangcha story of Shin Yu-Han who participated as a Jesulgwan in dispatching Gihaetongshinsa(1719). This paper reonfigured the value of HaeYuRok in Tongshinsa hangcha by dividing the HaeYuRok Shin Yu-Han into the formation background, narration phase, and features in story and studying these.<BR>  The decision of dispatching Gihaetongshinsa caused by return of Bingryejedo(聘禮制度) done during Imsultonshinsa(1682) became external formation background of the HaeYuRok. Internal formation background was caused by the personal desire that Shin Yu-Han wanted to preserve and display by recording the pride of participating Sahang and valuable experience.<BR>  Narration phase of the HaeYuRok is presented mainly in 3 types. First, "various kinds" of compounded composition such as diary, poem, miscellanies, and so on, second, "concentrated narration centered on important event" centered on lodgings of new itinerary and the day of MangGualRye(望闕禮), and third, "Insuring objectivity of experience through description with reality" to deliver experience of Sahang with being more objective and brimming.<BR>  There are features in story of the HaeYuRok, which is different from negative preconception that he had before he visited Japan, those are "ambilterlity of recognition toward Japan" that started to include the precaution against developing Japanese literature and the feeling of fear, "literary form of specific customs" that we can see in reforming private oral-spread songs to Akbushi(樂府詩), and "reflection of various phases in cultural exchange" that influence on entertainment, living and culture with including literature.<BR>  Literary agony of Shin Yu-Han to deliver experience of Sahang efficiently is reflected on the HaeYuRok. as a result, Shin Yu-Han could boast his literature talent through the HaeYuRok, and Tongshinsa won full recognition as a type of cultural exchange between Korea and Japan through the HaeYuRok.
