In this research, analysis was ran on landing characteristics using ADAMS. Aircraft by using it on rigid body assumed 2 degree of freedom, 6 degree of freedom and flexible body assumed 11 degree of freedom.
Also analyzed on landing characteristics regarding conditions and parameters that could effect the outcome and compared it with the mass and landing speed that would have the most influence.
The result showed shock absorption decreased as degree of freedom increased. Also 11 degree of freedom revealed that there is a difference in displacement and ground reaction force from 6 degree of freedom. This explains flexible body concerned inertial force and fuselage's elasticity has an affect on landing gear's landing peculiarity. Due to difference in shock absorption according to change in degree of freedom, more simulations should be held with more degree of freedom with much more diversity in flexibility indesigning actual landing gear.
