학교 관리자의 다문화 및 다문화교육 인식 조사 연구 = Understanding of multiculture and multicultural education of school administrators

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 학교 관리자를 대상으로 다문화 및 다문화교육에 대한 인식을 파악하였다. 경기, 인천, 경남 지역의 학교 관리자(교장, 교감, 행정관리자 등)를 대상으로 다문화 및 다문화교육에 대한 인식을 조사하였고, 다문화 및 다문화교육 인식 수준을 분석하였다. 또, 학교 관리자의 개인 변인에 따른 다문화 및 다문화교육 인식 수준의 차이, 학교 관리자의 개인 변인과 다문화 및 다문화교육 인식 수준과의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교 관리자는 다문화 및 다문화교육에 대해서 전반적으로 개방적이고 긍정적인 인식을 갖고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학교 관리자의 다문화 인식은 성별에 따른 유의차가 없었고, 다문화교육 인식은 성별에 따라 유의차가 나타났다. 또, 개인 변인 중 다문화교육 수강 유무와 직책에 대해서는 다문화 인식과 다문화교육 인식 모두 통계적으로 유의차가 나타났다. 셋째, 다문화 인식 수준에 대해 설명력이 높은 항목은 직책으로 나타났고, 다문화교육 인식 수준에 대해 설명력이 높은 개인 변인은 성별, 직책, 다문화교육 수강 유무로 나타났다. 넷째, 학교 관리자의 다문화 인식은 다문화교육 인식과 강한 정적 상관관계를 보였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the understanding of school administrators about multiculture and multicultural education. We conducted a questionnaire survey of the understanding of school administrators(principals, vice-schoolmasters, administrators) about multiculture and multicultural education in Gyeonggido, Incheon, Kyungnam areas, and analyzed the understanding level of those. In addition, we analyzed the differences of understanding about multiculture and multicultural education according to the individual variables of school administrators, and analyzed the correlation between individual variables of school administrators and understanding level of multiculture and multicultural education. The analysis results can be summarized as follows. First, it shows that school administrators have a open and affirmative understanding overall about multiculture and multicultural education. Second, there was no significant difference by sex in multicultural understanding of school administrators, and there was a significant difference by sex in the understanding of multicultural education. And there were significant differences by taking multicultural education, and their school positions in each understanding of multiculture and multicultural education. Third, the school position was shown as the high explanatory factor for the understanding level of multiculture, and when it comes to the understanding level of multicultural education, sex, school position, and taking multicultural education were shown as the high explanatory factors. Fourth, the multicultural understanding of school administrators showed the strong affirmative correlation with the understanding of multicultural education.
