중학교 미술교육에서 다큐멘터리사진을 활용한 비평적 감상지도연구 = A Study on Guidance of Critical Appreciation by Using Documentary Photographs in Secondary School Art Education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

These days, we exist with a lot of visual images presented by various media. It is not easy to understand the implied meanings and messages the producers want to share through their works. In this study, an effort is made to improve students' critical appreciation ability and to make them understand the meanings implied in the documentary photograph by themselves. For that purpose, the activities of criticizing documentary photograph are considered as the effective educational device.
In conclusion, this study suggests that an appreciation class utilizing documentary photograph can help secondary students develop an artistic eye and understand the messages artists want to share. The educational potential of documentary photographs in art field should be maximized by appreciation activity. It is vital that we encourage students to establish positive attitude toward documentary photographs.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 다큐멘터리사진을 비평단계를 활용하여, 학생 스스로가 사진의 의미를 이해하고 판단할 수 있는 비평능력을 신장시키고자하는데 이 논문의 목적이 있다.
연구결과 다큐멘터리를 통한 감상수업은 중학교 학생들이 다양한 작품을 보여주어 폭 넓은 미적감식안을 갖게 하고, 작가의 비평적 사고를 이해하며 자신의 의견을 표현하는 과정을 거치면서 비평능력 신장의 효과를 얻을 수 있다는 가능성을 보여 주었다.
미술교육에서 다큐멘터리사진이 가지고 있는 교육적 가능성을 감상수업을 통하여 극대화하고 학습자로 하여금 다큐멘터리사진감상에 대한 긍정적 인식을 정립하는데 관심을 기울여야 한다.
다큐멘터리사진감상활동은 학습자에게 다양한 시각적 경험을 제공하고 비평능력을 신장시켜 올바른 가치관을 정립하는데 중요한 발판이 될 것이라 기대한다.
