한국어 연결어미 '-는데'의 베트남어 대응 표지 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to help Vietnamese learners understand and use various meanings of Korean connective ending 'neunde' exactly by analyzing Vietnamese markers corresponding to Korean connective ending 'neunde'.
Results of surveys showed that Vietnamese learners regarded 'neunde' as the most difficult connecting endings in beginning level and they didn't understand various meanings of 'neunde' exactly.
In addition to there was not enough explanation about various meanings of 'neunde' in Korean-Vietnamese dictionaries and Korean grammar books in Vietnamese.
In this study Korean Vietnamese translation materials were analyzed to examine aspects of Vietnamese markers corresponding to Korean connective ending 'neunde' and the types and meanings of corresponding marker classified by meaning of 'neunde' were also analyzed with a view to help Vietnamese learners understand meaning of 'neunde'.
In chapter 1, previous studies about meaning of 'neunde' and contrastive studies on 'neunde' were reviewed.
In chapter 2, previous studies about Korean connective ending 'neunde' and Vietnamese relative markers were organized. Then 4 major meanings of 'neunde' were selected on the basis of meaning of 'neunde' in previous studies, Korean dictionaries and grammar books. And Vietnamese relative markers by semantic relations of complex sentence were organized. On based these organization Vietnamese relative meanings and markers corresponding major meanings of Korean connective ending 'neunde' were suggested.
In chapter 3, materials used to analyze Vietnamese markers corresponding Korean connective ending 'neunde', method and criteria of analysis are presented.
In chapter 4, types of Vietnamese markers corresponding to 'neunde', meanings of corresponding markers, frequency of use were presented and analyzed. Then types and meanings of corresponding markers classified by meanings of 'neunde' and frequency of use were analyzed and corresponding aspects in examples were examined. After considering all the result of analysis, corresponding Vietnamese markers and semantic relations were discussed.
The result of analysis in chapter 4 may be summarized as follows. Vietnamese markers corresponding Korean connective ending 'neunde' were presented as nhung, comma(,) thi, khi according to frequency of use and meaning of markers were presented as contrast, opposition, concession and time background in meaning of markers.
The result of analysis Vietnamese markers classified by meaning of 'neunde' showed that in cases ‘neunde’ means contrast, opposition, concession and time background Vietnamese markers were also used as those meanings. on the contrary in cases ‘neunde’ means basis of a background or supplementary detailed description comma(,) or no marker were mostly used as Vietnamese markers. And the comma(,) was high frequently marker regardless of meaning of ‘neunde’.

In chapter 5, After discussing about this results, it was suggested to implicate for teaching Korean connective ending 'neunde' for Vietnameses learner.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국어 연결어미 ‘-는데’에 대응하는 베트남어 표지를 분석하여 베트남인 학습자들이 한국어 연결어미 ‘-는데’의 다양한 의미를 정확히 이해하고 사용할 수 있도록 도움을 주는 데 목적이 있다. 설문 조사 결과 베트남인 학습자들은 초급 연결어미 중에서 ‘-는데’를 가장 어려운 어미로 인식했고 ‘-는데’의 다양한 의미들을 정확히 이해하여 사용하는 데 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
이러한 문제 인식을 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 한국어-베트남어 대역 자료의 연결어미 ‘-는데’ 용례를 분석하여 연결어미 ‘-는데’에 대응하는 베트남어 표지의 유형과 의미별 빈도를 살펴보고 연결어미 ‘-는데’와 베트남어 표지의 대응 양상을 분석함으로써 베트남인 학습자들이 ‘-는데’의 다양한 의미들을 이해하는 데 도움을 주고자 하였다.
먼저 1장에서는 연결어미 ‘-는데’의 의미와 관련된 선행연구와 ‘-는데’ 대조 연구를 검토하였다. 그리고 2장에서는 한국어 연결어미 ‘-는데’와 베트남어 관계 표지에 대한 선행 연구와 이론들을 정리하였는데, 먼저 선행연구와 한국어 사전 및 문법서에 제시된 ‘-는데’의 의미를 바탕으로 ‘-는데’의 주요 의미 4가지를 선정하였다. 그리고 베트남어 복문의 의미 관계에 따른 베트남어 관계 표지들을 제시하고 이를 바탕으로 한국어 연결어미 ‘-는데’의 의미에 대응하는 베트남어 복문의 의미와 그에 따른 대응 표지들을 제시하였다. 3장에서는 한국어 연결어미 ‘-는데’의 베트남어 대응 표지 분석을 위한 연구 절차와 자료, 분석 기준 및 방법을 제시하였다. 4장에서는 연결어미 ‘-는데’의 대응 표지 유형과 의미별 빈도를 분석하여 제시하였다. 또한 ‘-는데’의 4가지 의미에 따라 나타난 대응 표지 유형과 의미별 빈도를 분석하고 용례를 통해 대응 양상을 살펴보았다. 마지막으로 분석 결과를 정리하여 한국어 연결어미 ‘-는데’와 베트남어 표지의 대응 양상에 대하여 종합적으로 논의하였다.
4장의 분석 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 한국어 연결어미 ‘-는데’에 대응하는 베트남어 표지의 유형은 nhung, 쉼표(,) thi, khi 등의 순으로 나타났으며 표지 의미에서 대립·대조·양보, 시간 의미 표지가 많이 나타났다. 다음으로 ‘-는데’의 의미별 대응 표지를 분석한 결과, ‘-는데’가 대립·대조·양보와 시간 배경 의미를 나타낼 때 베트남어에서도 해당 의미 표지로 대응되는 비율이 높았고 근거 배경과 보충·상세 설명 의미에서는 쉼표(,)나 무표지가 나타난 비율이 높았다. 그리고 쉼표(,)는 ‘-는데’의 모든 의미에서 높은 빈도로 나타났다. 마지막으로 한국어 연결어미 ‘-는데’와 베트남어 대응 표지의 의미별 빈도를 비교한 결과, 한국어 연결어미 ‘-는데’의 의미들이 베트남어 대응 표지에서 주로 대립·대조·양보와 시간 의미 표지로 대응되었음을 알 수 있었다.
5장에서는 본 연구의 연구 목적과 절차, 연구 결과를 종합하여 정리한 후 이를 바탕으로 한국어 연결어미 ‘-는데’ 교육을 위한 제언을 하였다.
