정보윤리에 관한 한 연구 : 덕 윤리학과 원리 중심 윤리학의 통합을 중심으로 = (A) study on information ethics : focused on integration of virtue ethics and principle-centered ethics

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper is the same as followings ; First, I examine what it contributed to the ethical problems needed in the information society through traditional ethics, based on the understanding of information society. From above, I will study about the two approaches in the information ethics ; that is, the virtue ethics and principle-centered ethics. The former focuses on cultivation of moral agent's nature, and the latter focuses on principles needed for moral agent to judge right and wrong. I will suggest the desirable way for building the information ethics through examining possibility of integration of the two approaches.
In information ethics, the two approaches ask that we should act as the moral being through virtues and principles. Until now, we have chosen the only one approach at the point of exclusive view. It is selfish or impulsive to the motive of act without moral nature and also it is contradiction to the moral nature against moral principle or duty. It is difficult that united standard which promotes the moral consideration in the multiplex modern society existences. Therefore, integration of virtue ethics and principle-centered ethics is needed to be done for dealing with various problems of information society. Autonomous selection and judgement ability under the moral problem situations proposed form the principle-centered ethics is connected with the affective elements of character. The affective elements of character play a role of the bridge between what is know and what is does. Even though we have a sufficient intelligent ability, if we lack in the will or habit of practicing the right judgement it can't assure that we practice as the right judgement. If we have the desirable nature which human in the information society must have through the virtue ethics and right value decision about ethical problems which we can confront in the information society through the principle-centered ethics, we will efficiently deal with the ethical problems form the information society.
