제품과 패션에 나타난 에코디자인의 비교 미학적 연구 = A Comparative Study on Eco Product Design and Eco Fashion Design

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research aims to comparatively study the aesthetic characteristics of eco product and fashion design in the 2000s by understanding the essence of eco design within sociocultural context, studying eco design in fashion and product design, and discerning the similarities and differences between plastic features and aesthetic values of eco fashion design and eco product design. For this purpose, literature review and demonstrative analysis of product and fashion collection photographs were performed. The scope of this research is from 2000 to 2010. The results of the research can be summarized as follows. First, eco design takes a human ethical approach, with the goal of protecting nature, saving resources and thus improving the quality of human life. Second, by analyzing eco design in order to set up a new theoretical standard, we found that the main values of eco design concern the functionality, the minimality, the healthiness, the naturalism and the quality of local customs. Third, artistically analyzing the plastic features and aesthetic values of eco design reflected in eco product design and those reflected in fashion not only provided objectivity to the analysis of eco design in fashion itself, but also provided an opportunity to introduce a new set of standards into the field. In conclusion, this study has pursued to carry out a more comprehensive research of eco design that takes into consideration its functional side as well.
