교회 평생교육 프로그램 참여자의 참여 동기와 만족도 연구 = A Study on the Motivation and Satisfaction of Participants in the Lifelong Education Program of Church

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 교회에서 운영하는 평생교육 프로그램에 참여하는 학습자의 참여 동기 및 만족도를 분석하는 데 그 목적을 두고 다음과 같은 세부적 연구문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 교회 평생교육 프로그램 참여자들의 참여 동기는 인구통계학적 배경 변인에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는가? 둘째, 교회 평생교육 프로그램 참여자들의 만족도는 인구통계학적 배경 변인에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는가? 셋째, 교회 평생교육 프로그램 참여자들의 참여 동기는 프로그램 만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가?
연구방법은 서울, 인천, 경기, 강원에서 현재 평생교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있는 11개 교회를 선정하여 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 성인학습자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 총 325부의 설문지가 연구 자료로 사용되었다. 수집된 자료는 빈도분석, t-test, 일원배치분산분석(One-Way ANOVA)과 LSD사후검정(Least Significant Difference), 다중회귀분석(Multiple Regression Analysis)을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같았다.
첫째, 교회 평생교육 프로그램에 참여하는 참여자들의 인구통계학적 배경 변인에 따른 참여 동기의 차이가 있었다.
둘째, 교회 평생교육 프로그램에 참여하는 참여자들의 인구통계학적 배경 변인에 따른 프로그램 만족도의 차이가 있었다.
셋째, 교회 평생교육 프로그램 참여자들의 참여 동기와 프로그램 만족도 간에는 유의한 상관관계가 있었으며, 이 중 학습지향형 참여 동기가 가장 강한 영향력을 가지고 교육 만족도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 반면 목표지향형 참여 동기는 전체적인 만족도와 부적 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났고, 그 중에서도 강사의 질과 교육 결과에 많은 영향력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
결론적으로 교회 평생교육 프로그램은 참여자의 다양성에 대한 교회와 지역사회의 인식 전환이 필요하며 이들의 요구에 발맞춘 프로그램의 개발과 운영이 필요하다. 또한 교회는 평생교육기관이 가져야 할 전문성을 길러 학습자들에게 양질의 교육을 제공할 수 있어야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to analyze the motivation and satisfaction of participants in the lifelong education program of church.
The followings are the questions for this study. First, are there any differences in motivations of participants in the lifelong education program of church based on the demographic factors? Second, are there any differences in satisfactions of participants in the lifelong education program of church based on the demographic factors? Third, how does the motivation of participants in the lifelong education program of church affect the satisfaction of them?
The subjects of this study were adult learners who were attending lifelong education programs of 11 churches in Seoul, Gyunggi, and Gangwon. 325 quantitative cases were collected through a survey and frequency analysis, independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, LSD multiple range test, simple correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis were used to anlyze the collected data.
The research findings are as follows. First, there were differences in motivations of participants in the lifelong education program of church depending on demographic factors. Second, there were differences in the level of satisfaction of participants in the lifelong education program of church depending on demographic factors. Third, there were meaningful correlation between the motivation and satisfaction of participants.
In conclusion, the lifelong education program of church need to change out perception to diversity of participants and development of programs to meet their various needs. Furthermore, church should have professionalism as the lifelong education institution in order to provide good education for learners.
