탈북 대학생의 언어 문식성 양상 분석 연구를 위한 시론 = A Study on the Analysis of Linguistic Literacy in the Defectors

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose：The study was designed to analyze the linguistic literacy patterns of North Korean university students and find ways to support their education in consideration of the special characteristics of North Korean university students. Methods：We conducted a preliminary survey and in-depth interview with 10 North Korean university students attending a private university in Seoul, and collected and analyzed more than two reports of liberal arts and major classes they prepared. It also conducted in-depth interviews with a Ph.D. graduate student who can report on the characteristics of North Korea’s language literacy education as the background of a North Korean university student’s linguistic literacy. Results：As a result of language literacy analysis, North Korean university students showed problems with language literacy due to ‘lack of basic literacy, differences in understanding of classics, differences in inter-Korean language culture, lack of structured writing education experience, and lack of understanding of genre characteristics’. Conclusion：This study promoted understanding of the linguistic literacy patterns of North Korean university students, and proposed specific support at the university level for them.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적：이 연구는 탈북 대학생들의 언어 문식성 양상을 분석하여, 그 결과를 바탕으로 탈북 대학생의 특수성을 고려한 대학 교육 지원 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 방법：서울 소재 A 사립대학에 재학 중인 탈북 대학생 10명을 대상으로 사전 설문과 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였으며, 이들이 작성한 교양 및 전공 수업의 보고서를 2편 이상 수집하여 분석하였다. 또한 탈북 대학생의 언어 문식성 양상 배경으로서의 북한의 언어 문식성 교육 특성을 보고해 줄 수 있는 박사과정 대학원생 1인을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 결과：언어 문식성 분석 결과, 탈북 대학생들은 ‘기초 문식성 부재, 고전에 대한 이해의 차이, 남북한 언어 문화 차이, 구조화된 글쓰기 교육 경험의 부재, 장르 특성에 대한 이해 부족’으로 인한 언어 문식성의 문제를 보였다. 결론：이 연구는 탈북 대학생의 언어 문식성 양상에 대한 이해를 증진하고, 그들에 대한 대학 차원의 구체적인 지원을 제안하였다.
