경로당 활용 노인의 지역사회 봉사에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리사회의 인구고령화 속도가 빠르게 접어들고 있는 과정에서 인구사회학적 전망과 그에 대한 사회적 경제적 전망의 대책에 대한 논의가 정부만이 아니라 지역사회가 함께 지속적인 관심의 대상으로써 끊임없는 연구의 필요성을 느낀다.
본 연구의 목적은 노인여가복지시설인 거주지역 경로당에서 경로당을 활용하는 노인을 대상으로 노인의 지역사회 봉사에 관한 연구를 하고자 하였다.
본 연구를 위해 서울시 구로구 천왕동 및 관내 지역 일부 아파트내의 노인여가 복지시설인 경로당을 활용하는 노인을 대상으로 설문조사 방법으로 자료를 수집하였다.
자료의 분석방법은 기술통계방식을 이용한 평균빈도 분석을 하였으며, 연구결과 중요한 사항은 다음과 같다.
첫 번째, 아파트 경로당을 활용하는 조사된 노인 총 137명 중 65세이상 75세이하의 노인이 누적빈도 114명으로서 누적비율 83.2%로 조사결과 나타났으며. 경로당프로그램 개발에 활용할 수 있는 중요변수가 연령이라는 사실을 확인할 수 있었다.
두 번째, 아파트 경로당을 이용하는 이유가 무엇이냐는 조사 분석결과 누적비율 77.2%가 시간을 보내기 위해서, 친구를 만나기위해서, 여가활동을 할 수 있어서 에 대한 응답결과가 나타났다. 이는 경로당에서도 질적인 여가활용 프로그램 운영이 필요한 것으로 요구 된다.
세 번째, 경로당의 사회적 기능과 봉사활동에 대한 분석 결과 경로당을 사랑방 역할, 다양한 여가활용 장소로서의 기능을 해야 한다는 조사결과가 79.7%로 나타났다. 이는 경로당을 사회적 기능으로서의 역할에 대한 인식을 깊이 하고 있지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
네 번째, 경로당을 이용하는 노인에게도 사회복지사가 필요 하느냐에 대한 설문에 매우 그렇다 와 그렇다 의 응답결과가 누적비율 72.89%로서 경로당에도 사회복지사 도움의 필요성을 인식하게 되었다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
다섯 번째, 경로당의 지역사회 봉사활동 사업 경험 여부에 대해 어린이등하교 교통지도와 환경지킴이가 누적비율로서 83.9%가 조사결과로 나타났다. 향후 노인여가복지 시설인 아파트 경로당을 활용하는 노인들을 위하여 경로당을 사회적 기능으로서의 지역사회 봉사활동프로그램에 대한 사회적 개발의 중요성을 느끼며, 최근 환경관리에 대한 관심사가 사회적으로 많은 작용을 하고 있음을 알 수 있다.
경로당 활용노인에게 지역사회의 공동작업, 지역봉사활동과 관련된 자원봉사활동을 통하여 지역사회의 순기능을 지속적으로 개발하고 노인들의 심리적 만족감을 줄 수 있는 여가활용이 되도록 정부나 지자체의 적절한 개입으로 사회복지전문가인 사회복지사를 적극 활용하여 경로당의 지역사회 봉사에 관하여 재정립 방안을 제시하고자 정책적 실천적 함의를 제안한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is the community volunteer of the elderly using the senior community center as welfare facilities for senior citizens. For this study, data is collected through survey methods. Respondents to a survey are the elderly who use the senior community center in Cheonwang-dong and jurisdictional area apartment.
The method of analysis is frequency analysis for demographic factors and responses of questions. Results of analysis on this study are summarized in five information.
First, Among respondents to the survey, the elderly aged 65 to 75 years are a large percentage of cases. So, the elderly’s age is a importantly applicable factor to develop a program on the senior community center.
Second, almost responses to the reason of an using the senior community center in apartment are killing time, meeting friends, and avocation. Because the use of spare time is a large portion, for making good use of spare time, the senior community center needs to operate qualitatively various program.
Third, almost responses to the function of the senior community center are a place of forming a friendship and of providing a leisure. So, the social and volunteering function of the senior community center is weak, and the elderly belittle it.
Fourth, to the question about necessity of a social worker for the senior community center user, the response which a social worker is needed is a large percentage of cases. So, the elderly have cognized a social worker’s aid in the senior community center.
Fifth, to the question about kinds of community volunteer of the senior community center, a traffic guide in elementary school and keeper of surrounding environment are a large percentage of cases as type which the elderly conduct.
In this research result, a public program is needed for the elderly who use the senior community center to activate a volunteer function to the senior community center. the public program should provide satisfaction to the elderly through community volunteer participation, and a social worker is needed to make a reestablish method of community volunteer program appropriating to the elderly.
