Previous studies on neck injury caused by low speed rear-end collision were based on the dummies of westerners body size in the tests and analyses. The primary objective of this study was to determine the effect of the Korean occupant size on the neck injury criteria during low speed rear-end collision. To accomplish this, 24 Korean human occupant model were generated by using MADYMO scaler and also using the 6th Korean anthropometric dimension measuring data and 72 low-speed rear-end collision simulations were conducted for 72 cases. Neck injury criteria (NIC, Nkm, LNL) were then compared according to the gender and occupant size.
