The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the anger control program of their aggression and anger, especially for mal-adaptative adolescents.
Thirty three subjects were selected among highschool students in Busan who got high score of school mal-adaptation scale. They were randomly assigned to three groups, the experimental group, the comparison group, and the controlled group.
They participated in group counseling for 9 sessions, for 90 minutes each session.
Both the aggression and the anger test were used before and after the counseling sessions.
For the purpose of the this study, ANCOVA was applied to prove the treatment effect among the groups.
The principal results are as following.
First, the aggression level was significantly reduced after through the group counseling of the anger control. For sub-variables, there were positive effects in terms of undirect aggression, verbal aggression, guilt, and revenge.
Secondly, from the point of anger level, there was no significant effect even after through the group counseling of the anger control.
