서울시 공공의료원 종사 간호사의 노후 준비에 관한 연구 = A Study the on Nurse's Preparation for Their Own Old Age-Focused on the Public Medical center in Seoul.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리 사회가 당면한 문제 중 노인문제는 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. 저 출산, 고령사회, 생산인구의 감소로 인한 국민연금의 고갈 등의 사회적 문제는 노후와 관련된 여러 문제들을 포함하고 있다. 본 연구는 고령화 사회에서 사회적으로 중요한 위치에 있는 공공의료원에 종사하고 있는 간호사들의 노후 준비에 대한 인식을 알아보고, 간호사들에게 안정적이고 체계적인 노후준비의 필요성을 인식시키고, 안정적인 노후준비의 방향제시와 간호사의 은퇴 이후의 삶에 대한 구체적인 계획 수립 및 국가의 노인복지 정책 수립의 기초자료를 제공하여 노인 삶의 질 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 주는데 목적이 있다.
본 연구는 서울시에 위치하는 3개 공공의료원에 종사하는 간호사 260명을 대상으로, 2011년 3월 24일부터 4월 2일까지 10일간에 걸쳐 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문지는 260부를 배부하여 241부를 수거하였으며, 답변이 부실한 2부를 제외한 239부를 최종 분석하였다.
본 연구의 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 조사대상자의 일반적 특성으로, 공공의료원 간호사의 성별은 직업의 특성상 98.3%가 여성이었으며, 평균연령은 33.36세, 평균 근무 경력은 9.77년이었다. 결혼여부는 미혼이 59.0%로 기혼 41.0%보다 많았고, 자녀수는 2명이 71.6%로 가장 많았다. 평균 월 소득은 237.38만원이었으며, 직위는 일반간호사가 90.0%로 가장 많았다.
둘째, 재취업에 대한 인식 조사에서 일하는 시기에 대해서는 응답자의 48.1%가 ‘건강이 허락할 때까지’라고 응답했으며 재취업의 형태로는 ‘간호직과 같은 업종’이 49.0%, ‘다른 업종’이 46.8%로 비슷하게 나왔으며, 재취업의 이유로는 재취업 희망 응답자 153명 중 ‘여가생활’ 72.5%, ‘자원봉사 등 사회활동’ 17.6% 순으로 나타났다.
셋째, 노후부양 태도에서 결혼한 자녀와 동거에서 ‘동거를 원하지 않는다’가 76.6% ‘동거를 원한다’가 14.6%로 나타났으며, 노년기 생활비 마련은 재취업이 47.7%, 국가의 도움이 29.3%, 자녀의 도움이 18.8%, 배우자의 도움이 9.6%로 나타났다.
넷째, 공공의료원 종사 간호사의 노년기에 대한 견해는 평균 3.75점으로 전반적으로 높은 편이었으며, ‘노년기에도 인생의 목적의식이 있어야 한다’가 4.21점으로 가장 높았으며, ‘노년기에는 인생에서 가장 우울한 시기이다’가 3.16점으로 가장 낮게 나타나 대부분의 간호사들은 노년기를 긍정적으로 생각하고 있다고 해석할 수 있다.
다섯째, 공공의료원 종사 간호사의 노후 준비 의식에서는 매우 높은 점수를 보여 평균 4.23점으로 나타났다. ‘노후에 대한 경제적 준비는 젊었을 때부터 하는 것이 바람직하다’가 4.44점으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, ‘노후의 생활비는 스스로 준비해야 한다’가 4.40점으로 높은 점수를 보여, 노후준비 의식에서 간호사들은 매우 적극적인 자세를 보이는 것으로 해석할 수 있다.
여섯째, 성공적인 노화인식은 신체적 준비, 정서적 준비, 경제적 준비로 나누어 분석하였으며, 신체적 준비 평균점수 3.52, 정서적 준비 평균점수 3.40이며, 경제적 준비로는 노후준비 연령으로 35세 미만이 49.8%로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 노후 필요 자금은 평균 9.77억 원으로 나타났고, 노후경제대책수(연금, 적금 등) 평균 1.97개로 나타났고, 노후를 위한 월평균 저축금액은 68.80만원으로 나타나 경제적인 노후대책이 젊은 나이에 이루어지고 있다고 해석할 수 있다.
일곱째, 노후 준비에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 인구사회학적 특성, 노후준비에 대한 견해, 노후준비 의식, 성공적인 노화인식을 상관관계와 회귀분석을 이용하여 분석한 결과 노후준비는 연령대가 높을수록, 학력이 높을수록, 교육수준이 높을수록, 기혼일 경우, 자녀의 수가 많을수록, 직위가 높을수록, 노후준비에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 결혼한 자녀와 동거를 원하는 경우, 노후생활비 마련과 돌봄의 주체에서 국가라고 답한 경우에서 노후준비가 높게 나타났다.
이러한 유의미한 전체 변수들을 다중회귀 분석한 결과 신체적 준비와 정서적 준비가 높을수록, 노후대책의 수가 많을수록 노후준비를 실행하는데 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 실제적인 노후준비 및 대책이 노후준비에 영향을 주는 것으로 해석이 된다.
이상의 결과에서 정신적, 육체적으로 어려운 직업인 간호사의 전반적인 처우개선과 공공의료원에 종사하는 간호사의 노후준비를 퇴직 전에 계획하고 준비하는 기회가 될 수 있다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 찾을 수 있고, 이러한 노후준비 관련 요인들이 공공의료원 종사 간호사의 노후준비에 영향을 미치는 다양한 요인에 대한 구체적인 연구가 필요하다고 제언한다.
