교재 분석을 통한 한국어 발음규칙 교육 방안 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

언어 학습의 근본적 목적인 원활한 의사소통을 위해 발음 교육은 매우 중요하다. 다른 언어 기능이 아무리 뛰어나다 해도 발음이 정확하지 않으면 상대방은 그 사람의 말뜻을 제대로 이해할 수 없을 것이다. 한국어를 가르치고, 배우는 대부분의 사람들이 발음의 중요성에 대해 인지하고 있지만, 실제 교육 현장에서 발음교육의 비중은 미미하다. 특히 표기와 발음이 다른 한국어의 경우 한글 표기를 보고 올바른 발음을 구사할 수 있도록 하는 발음규칙 교육이 매우 중요한데, 현재는 이 발음규칙에 대한 교육이 제대로 이루어지지 않아 많은 한국어 학습자들이 발음에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구는 대부분의 한국어 교육기관에서 사용하는 통합교재의 발음규칙 제시 내용을 분석하여 그 문제점을 찾아보고 그에 맞는 개선방안을 제시하여 좀 더 효과적인 발음교육이 이루어지는데 도움이 되고자 한다.
먼저 1장에서는 본 연구의 목적 및 필요성을 밝히고, 효과적인 발음교육을 위해 교재 분석을 실행한 선행 연구들을 살펴보았다.
2장에서는 이론적 배경으로 한국어의 발음규칙을 이해하기 위해 꼭 알아야 할 한국어의 음운체계와 음절구조에 대해 살펴보고, 본 연구의 기준으로 삼은 김종덕(2017)의 11개 발음규칙 분류와 그 내용을 제시하였다. 이후 선행연구에서 제시한 발음규칙 교육 내용 구성 방안들을 종합 정리하여 본 연구의 통합교재 분석 항목을 마련하였다.
3장에서는 국내 주요 대학에서 개발한 5개 한국어 통합교재에 제시된 발음규칙 내용과 구성방식 등을 비교·분석하여 각 교재별 특징과 문제점을 파악하였고, 발음 전문 교재를 분석하여 이 문제점에 대한 개선 방향을 잡는 기준으로 삼았다.
4장에서는 통합교재의 문제점에 대한 분석 항목별 개선 방안을 제시하였으며, 그에 따른 실제를 초급, 중급, 고급으로 나누어 제시하였다.
마지막으로 5장에서는 앞의 논의를 요약·정리하고, 본 연구의 의의와 향후 과제를 밝힌다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Pronunciation education is very important for smooth communication, which is the basic purpose of language learning. if pronunciation is not correct, the meaning a speaker wants to convey is not well understood, no matter how great other parts of a language are. Most of the people who teach and learn the Korean language recognize the importance of pronunciation, but the importance does not take much room in the actual field of education. Especially, Korean notation and its pronunciation are different. Therefore, it is very important in Korean language education that the education of Korean pronunciation rules is given in a way that the learners can pronounce with Korean notations. However, many Korean learners currently have difficulty with Korean pronunciation because the education of Korean pronunciation rules is not sufficiently provided. In this respect, I intended to analyze the contents of pronunciation rules included in the integrated textbooks of most Korean language education institutions, find their problems, and suggest improvements.
In Chapter 1, I revealed the purpose and necessity of this study and examined the precedent studies that had conducted textbook analysis for effective pronunciation education.
In Chapter 2, as the theoretical background, I examine the phonological system and syllable structures of Korean language, which is necessary to know to understand Korean pronunciation rules. And I presented the 11 pronunciation rules by Kim Jong-deok (2017) and explained them. Then, I arranged the content composition plans of pronunciation rules education found in the previous studies and decided the items to analyze in the integrated textbooks.
In Chapter 3, I compared the contents and composition methods of pronunciation rules in 5 integrated Korean textbooks and found the characteristics and problems of each textbook. And I analyzed the textbook specializing in pronunciation to derive improvements.
In chapter 4, I presented an improvement plan for the problems of the integrated textbooks by item and divided them into beginning, intermediate, and advanced.
Last, I summarized the discussion above in Chapter 5 and proposed considerations and challenges to take in the future.
