지역아동센터 내 다문화아동에 대한 상담심리서비스 제공의 필요성과 현실적 가능성에 대한 질적사례연구 : 지역아동센터 종사자들 입장에서 = Qualitative Case Study on the Necessity and Feasibility of Psychological Counseling Services for Multi-Cultural Children within Community Child Care Center.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

대한민국 내 다문화가족이 급증함에 따라 다문화아동 수도 빠르게 증가하고 있지만 다문화아동들이 외모 및 언어의 차이로 인해 겪는 정서적 어려움을 해결하고자 하는 목소리는 여전히 크지 않다. 특히 방과 후 다문화아동들의 지역아동센터로의 유입이 큰 폭으로 증가하고 있는데 지역아동센터 차원에서 다문화아동들의 정서적 어려움 혹은 이를 해결하고자 하는 인식은 대단히 부족하다.
지역아동센터의 다문화아동 심리 치료 서비스 제공이 현실적으로 가능하다면 다문화 아동 심리 치료 개선에 매우 큰 효과가 있을 것이라 생각한다. 이에 대해 본 연구는 다문화가정 아동이 지역아동센터 내로의 유입이 증가하고 있다는 점을 착안하여 지역아동센터 내에서 다문화 가정 아동들에 대한 상담심리 서비스 제공의 필요성과 현실적 가능성을 지역아동센터 종사자들의 입장에서 분석하고자 하였다.
기존에는 지역아동센터 내 다문화가정 아동이 겪는 어려움 혹은 지역아동센터 종사자가 다문화가정 아동을 돌보는 과정에서 겪는 어려움에 대한 연구는 지속적으로 있었다. 종사자에게 다문화교육 및 정부 지원을 강조하는 연구도 있었고 실제 지역아동센터 내 다문화 가정 아동을 대상으로 하는 심리치료 사례 연구도 있었다. 하지만 구체적으로 지역아동센터 내

종사자들의 눈과 입장에서 다문화아동들을 대상으로 하는 상담심리 서비스 제공의 필요성 및 가능성을 생각해보는 연구는 진행된 바 없다. 이에 대해 본 논문은 지역아동센터 내 실무자들의 인터뷰를 통하여 상담심리 서비스 제공 가능성 및 현실성에 대한 질적사례연구를 진행하고자 한다. 대부분의 종사자들은 상담심리 필요성에 공감하였지만 예산, 인력, 공간 등 현실적인 제약도 강조하였다. 이에 외부 기업 및 지방자치기관이 제공하는 상담심리 프로그램의 활용의 중요성도 언급하였다. 본 연구를 통해 앞으로 증가하는 지역아동센터 내 다문화 아동의 심리정서적 어려움을 집중적으로 해결할 수 있는 초석을 마련하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As the number of multi-cultural families in South Korea has rapidly increased, the number of multi-cultural children has also increased, but there is still a lack of voices reflecting the emotional difficulties these children face due to differences in appearance and language. Particularly, despite a substantial increase in multi-cultural children attending community child care center, there is a lack of awareness within these centers regarding the emotional difficulties of multi-cultural children or efforts to resolve the difficulties. If community child center could provide multi-cultural counseling service, this would greatly support the sychological treatment of the children. The thesis aims to examine the necessity and feasibility of providing psychological counseling services to multi-cultural children within community child care center from the perspective of center’s staffs, considering the rapid increased number of children from multi-cultural backgrounds into these centers.
Previous literature has continuously examined the challenges faced by multi-cultural children within community child care centers or the difficulties encountered by center staff in caring for these multi-cultural children. Some studies have emphasized multi-cultural education and government support for staff, while others have focused on case studies of psychological therapy for multi-cultural children within these community child care centers. However, there has been no research specifically examining the necessity and feasibility of psychological counseling services targeting multi-cultural children from the perspective of center staff. Thus, this thesis seeks to conduct a qualitative case study through interviews with center’s staffs within community child care center to explore the feasibility and practicality of providing psychological counseling services. The center staff agreed on the necessity of counseling and psychological services within the center, but they also emphasized specific constraints such as budget, staffing and space. The staffs notes the importance of employing counseling and psychological programs provided by companies or local government entities. Through this study, we aim to lay the groundwork for effectively addressing the increasing psychological and emotional difficulties faced by mult-icultural children within community child care center.
