청소년 자원봉사동아리 활동의 만족도와 자아정체감과의 관계

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년 자원봉사동아리 활동에 참여하고 있는 청소년들의 봉사활동 실태를 조사하고, 이들의 자원봉사활동 만족도와 자아정체감의 발달수준을 알아보고, 청소년 자원봉사동아리 활동의 필요성과 활성화에 대한 방향을 모색하는데 목적이 있다.
본 연구의 목적 달성을 위해 문헌연구와 설문조사를 병행하였으며, 설문조사는 청소년 자원봉사동아리 활동에 참여하는 360명의 중?고등학생을 대상으로 하였다.
설문조사를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 청소년 자원봉사동아리 활동의 실태에 대한 조사결과, 대부분의 학생들이 봉사점수보다는 봉사활동이 하고 싶어서거나 자신의 건전한 인격형성을 위해 동아리에 가입하는 것으로 나타났으며, 이들은 한 달에 한번 이상은 봉사활동에 참여하며, 주로 학기중 공휴일을 이용하는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 자원봉사동아리 활동의 만족도에 대한 조사결과, 동아리에서 자신이 임원의 역할을 맡았을 때, 동아리의 봉사활동 목적에 대해 잘 알고 있을 때, 사전교육과 평가시간을 갖은 경우에, 지도 선생님이 봉사활동에 직접 참가하는 경우 등이 만족도가 높게 나타났다.
셋째, 자원봉사동아리 청소년들의 자아정체감에 대한 조사결과, 동아리에서 임원을 맡은 경우, 동아리의 봉사활동 목적에 대해 잘 알고 있을 때, 봉사활동에 열심히 참여할 때 자아정체감의 평균이 높게 나타났으며, 사전교육과 평가시간을 갖은 경우에도 평균이 높게 나타났다.
넷째, 청소년 자원봉사동아리 활동의 만족도와 자아정체감과의 관계에서 만족도가 높을수록 자아정체감의 발달수준도 높은 상관관계가 유의하게 나타났다.
이와 같은 결과를 토대로 청소년 자원봉사동아리의 활성화를 위한 몇 가지 제언을 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 청소년 자원봉사동아리에 맞는 다양한 활동프로그램이 개발되어야 한다.
둘째, 자원봉사활동에 대한 사전교육과 평가활동이 반드시 병행되어야 한다.
셋째, 동아리를 맡고 있는 지도교사들의 적극적인 참여가 필요하다.
넷째, 청소년 자원봉사동아리의 좀더 체계적이고 계획적인 봉사활동을 위해 학교차원에서의 동아리에 대한 지원이 필요하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to identify the actual condition of voluntary activity of the teenagers, to examine the extent of their satisfaction with voluntary activity and the developmental level of self-identity, and to pursue direction toward necessity and activation of youth voluntary activity.
To accomplish these aims, we carry out a literature review and a questionnaire survey. The subjects are 360 middle and high school students participating in voluntary activity.
The results of this study are as follows.
First, the most students become members of the voluntary activity club to enhance their personalities or serve others rather than to get good marks in the service subject. They have participated in voluntary activity more than once a month, usually on holidays during semester.
Second, it is reported that the teenagers show greater satisfaction in the cases such as when they are in charge of executives, when they know well the purpose of voluntary activity and when a guidance teacher joins in the activity.
Third, the respondents show higher average records in self-identity when they are in charge of executives, when they know well the purpose of service activity and when they actively participate in the activity. Also, the youth show higher average marks when they received preliminary training and had a time to evaluate their activities.
Fourth, satisfaction with voluntary activity is significantly related to self-identity.
On the basis of these results, we propose some aspects with regard to the promotion of youth voluntary activity.
First, a variety of activity programs fit for youth voluntary service should be developed.
Second, a preliminary training for voluntary service should keep pace with an evaluation on their activity.
Third, a guidance teacher who is in charge of the club should positively join in.
Fourth, it is necessary that school authority supports voluntary activity club for the systematic planning of the service.
