도시와 농촌지역 유아 어머니의 교육지원활동 비교연구 = A Study on the Mothers' Education Support Activities of the Preschool Children in Urban and Rural Areas.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study concentrated on analyzing the change of education support activities in the cities and rural districts and the difference of the education support activities for the children between the cities and rural districts and by educational background of mothers with preschool children and by employment status of mothers.
6 educational institutions for preschool children in the cities and 10 in rural districts were selected. The questionnaires were distributed to total 300 mothers with preschool children. The content validity and the construct validity were verified and the statistical methods were the descriptive statistics including the frequency, percentage, average and standard deviation and the factor analysis in order to extract and verify the factors in the education support activities. This study also carried out the three-way ANOVA for analyzing the difference of education support activities by city, rural district, mother's educational background and mother's employment status.
The followings are the major research results.
First, three factors were extracted as the education support activities for the children; education support activities in kindergartens, families and out of kindergartens. The education support activity scores of mothers with preschool children were higher in order of education support activities in families, out of kindergartens and kindergartens.
Second, the education support activities in kindergartens demonstrated the statistically significant difference between the cities and the rural districts. The mothers in the cities showed higher participation scores than those in rural districts. Furthermore, while the higher the educational background was, the higher the scores were in the cities, the rural districts had no significant difference in the educational background aspect.
Third, the education support activities in the families showed the statistical significance in the regional difference, mother's educational background and mother's employment status. The educational support activities were performed more in the cities than in the rural districts, by the mothers with higher educational background and by the mothers without jobs than those with jobs.
Finally, the education support activities out of kindergartens had no significant difference by regional difference, mother's educational background and mother's employment status.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 도시․농촌지역과 취학 전 유아 어머니의 학력, 취업여부 등에 따른 자녀 교육지원활동의 차이와 도시와 농촌지역의 교육지원활동 변화 추이를 분석하는데 목적을 두었으며, 연구대상은 도시지역의 6개 유아교육기관, 농촌지역의 10개 유아교육기관을 선정하여 총 300명의 취학 전 유아 어머니에게 설문조사를 실시하여 분석을 수행하였다. 측정도구는 내용타당도와 구인타당도를 검증하였으며, 사용된 통계방법은 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차 등의 기술통계치와 교육지원활동의 요인추출․확인을 위해 요인분석을 하였으며, 도시․농촌지역, 어머니 학력, 취업여부 등에 따른 교육지원활동의 차이를 분석하기 위하여 삼원변량분석을 수행하였다. 이 연구에서의 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 자녀의 교육지원활동은 유치원 교육지원활동, 가정 교육지원활동, 유치원 외 교육지원활동 등 3개의 요인으로 추출되었으며, 취학 전 유아 어머니의 자녀 교육지원활동 점수는 가정 교육지원활동, 유치원 외 교육지원활동, 유치원 교육지원활동의 순으로 나타났다.
둘째, 유치원 교육지원활동은 도시․농촌지역에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타나 도시지역의 어머니가 농촌지역보다 더 높은 참여점수를 보여주었다. 또한 도시지역의 어머니는 학력이 높을수록 더 높게 나타난 반면 농촌지역은 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 분석되었다.
셋째, 가정 교육지원활동은 도시․농촌지역, 어머니 학력, 어머니 취업여부 등에 따라 모두 통계적인 유의성이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 농촌지역보다는 도시지역이, 어머니의 학력은 높을수록, 취업모 보다는 미취업모가 가정에서의 교육지원활동을 더 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다.
마지막으로 유치원 외 교육지원활동은 도시․농촌지역, 어머니 학력, 어머니 취업여부 등에 따라 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 분석되었다.
