This research is aimed at looking into the actual conditions of the early private education depending on a mother's views on their kid's education by grasping the related variable factors to a mother and those related to their kids.
On the basis of the related literature and the preceding research, this paper installed the research matters as follows
1) What is a mother's view on the education for her child aged fully five?
1-1) What's a mother's view on education for her child subsequent to her personal background[age, educational background, income level, occupation, residential district?
1-2) What is a mother's view on the education of her child whose personal characteristics[number of the siblings, the order of its birth, its current nursery school]?
2) What's the actual conditions of the early private education for her child aged fully 5?
2-1)What is the real condition of the early private education subsequent to a mother's personal background[age, educational background, income level, occupation, residential district?
2-2) What's the real situation of the early private education subsequent to a child personal characteristics[number of the siblings, the order of its birth, its current nursery school?
3) What is the real situation of the early private education subsequent to a mother's views on their child education ?
The surveyed target for this research are the 456 mothers who have a child aged 5 in some districts of Daejeon and Chungcheongnam-do. The research instruments were revised and complemented to be suited for the research purpose and the research conducted the average, standard deviation, t-test, dispersion analysis using SPSS program in order to analyze the collected data; then, also implemented Scheffe post-verification and Pearson alysis method. The result of this research is as follows
First, a mother's view on education was revealed to have an adult-oriented educational views. To take a more concrete look at this, among the whole surveyed, 252 mothers(accounting for 55.3%) showed their adult-oriented educational views of their child and 204 mothers (accounting for 44.7%)showed kid-oriented educational views of their child.
There showed a significant difference in educational background, occupation, and residential districts depending on a mother's variable factor of a background ; as for their child personal characteristics, there showed a significant difference depending on the order of their birth and their current nursery schools.
Second, as for the real conditions of the early private education, 350 mothers(accounting for 76.9%)out of the total 456 mothers surveyed were revealed to conduct the early private education for their child. According to the variable factors such as a mother's age and residential districts, there showed a difference in their child starting age of the early private education and there showed a difference in their subjects child begin to learn according to mothers' educational background, occupation, residential districts, the kids' current nursery schools, and mothers' income level.
As for the educational scope and educational method, there showed It was revealed that the Korean alphabet and math dominate in kid's educational field and drill papers was much used for child learning improvement. For the field of English, Chinese characters, teaching tools, and art, a lot of mothers rely on private tutoring and extracurricular lessons; in addition, mothers rely a lot on private professional academies for their child music and taekwondo.
To the question of why mothers let their kid to take the early private education, the majority of the responders said, "my neighbors do that a lot" and to the question of what they think of important in time of choosing a private educational institution, they pointed out "relationship with their friends and teacher's human nature."
Third, in real conditions of the early private education subsequent to a mother's view on their kid's education. it was found that the mothers who have adult-oriented educational views rely on more private education than the mothers having child-oriented educational views.
