기질, 성, 심리적․행동적 조화적합성이 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Young Children's Temperament, Sex and Psychological & Behavioral Goodness-of-Fit on Young Children's Emotional Intelligence

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purposes of this study was to examine the effects of young children's sex, temperament, and the goodness-of-fit on 3-year olds' emotional intelligence. The subjects were 100 3-year-old children, their mothers and 18 teachers recruited from 13 child care centers in Wonju. The results showed that children's sex and the goodness-of-fit between mothers’ and children's temperaments had significant effects on young children's emotional intelligence. On the contrary, children's temperament had no significant influence on children's emotional intelligence. In addition, psychological goodness-of-fit and behavioral goodness-of-fit explained different parts of children's emotional intelligence. Therefore, more empirical data should be collected regarding behavioral goodness-of-fit between the mother and the child.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 유아의 기질, 성, 그리고 유아와 어머니 기질간의 조화적합성이 유아의 정서지능에 미치는 영향력을 규명하였다. 유아와 어머니간의 현존하는 기질과 실제행동으로 표출되는 기질의 조화정도에는 차이가 있을 수 있으므로 심리적 조화적합성과 행동적 조화적합성을 구분하여 측정해 정서지능에 미치는 영향력을 각 각 측정하였다. 자료수집은 보건복지부의 평가인증을 획득한 원주시 소재 어린이집 13곳에서 만 3세아 100명과 그들의 어머니, 그리고 담임교사 18명을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 분석결과 유아가 갖고 태어난 생래적 요인 중 성은 정서지능을 설명하는 주요 변수였으나 기질의 영향력은 상대적으로 미약한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 유아의 기질 자체보다는 유아의 기질에 대한 중요한 타자의 심리적, 행동적 반응이라고 규정할 수 있는 조화적합성이 정서지능에 실제적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 기존의 연구들에서 전통적으로 논의되어온 심리적 조화적합성의 설명력이 행동적 조화적합성보다 큰 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 이 두 모형은 정서지능의 각기 다른 부분을 설명하고 있으므로 경험적 연구자료의 축적이 미미한 행동적 조화적합성도 정서지능의 주요변인으로 고려하여 보다 많은 후속 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.
