장애아동 부모 역량강화 프로그램이 어머니의 효능감에 미치는 효과 = The Effects of Empowerment Programs for Parents of Children with Disabilities on Mothers' Efficacy

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims at identifying the effects of empowerment program for parents of children with disabilities and investigating its influence on mothers’ efficacy. By employing the empowerment program for parents of children with disabilities, a scale of mothers' efficacy was developed. There are two groups of mothers of children with disabilities. Each group had 15 participants. One group was an experimental group who participated in the empowerment program for two hours once a week for ten weeks. The other group is a control group. All participants were given a pre-test and a post-test measuring their efficacy according to a scale of mother’s efficacy. For mothers participating in the Empowerment program for Parents of Children with Disability, the results were as follows. First, the mothers’ efficacy has been reinforced. Second, the mothers’ subordinate efficacy of self-efficacy, family self-efficacy, social self-efficacy had also been reinforced. Therefore developing and practicing this program proves to an effective way to improve the efficacy of mothers of children with disabilities.
According to these results, not only did this program reinforce the capability these mothers—through self=understanding, understanding of their children, strengthened ability to respond, and improved quality of life—but it also has the potential to be a valuable set of date for empowering the families of children with disabilities.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 장애아동 부모 역량강화 프로그램이 어머니의 효능감에 미친 효과를 알아보 았다. 이를 위하여 장애아동 부모 역량강화 프로그램을 구안하였고, 어머니의 효능감 척 도를 개발하였다. 장애아동 어머니 30명을 연구대상으로 선정하여, 각각 15명씩 실험집 단과 통제집단으로 나누었다. 연구대상 모두에게 사전ㆍ사후검사로 어머니의 효능감 척도 를 실시하였다. 실험집단 어머니에게는 장애아동 부모 역량강화 프로그램을 매주 2시간씩 10주간 10회기를 실시하였고, 통제집단 어머니에게는 프로그램을 실시하지 않았다. 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애아동 부모 역량강화 프로그램은 장애아동 어머 니의 효능감을 향상시켰다. 둘째, 장애아동 부모 역량강화 프로그램은 장애아동 어머니의 하위 효능감인 자기효능감, 가족 효능감, 사회적 효능감을 향상시켰다. 따라서 장애아동 어머니의 효능감을 증진시키기 위해서는 역량강화 프로그램을 개발하여 실행하는 것이 효과적인 방법이라고 하겠다. 장애아동 어머니의 역량을 강화하기 위해 어머니 자신의 이 해, 자녀의 이해, 대처능력 강화, 삶의 질 향상 등으로 실행한 본 프로그램은 앞으로 장애 아동 가족을 지원하는 프로그램의 주요 내용으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
