지적장애자녀 어머니의 지역복지기관 이용경험에 관한 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The main goal of this study is to describe the meaning of experience of mothers using local social welfare services over a long period of time for their youth with intellectual disability, and is to provide experiential resources to welfare agencies for their change and development hereafter. The collection of sources for this article is based on in-depth interviews from eight mothers who had used local welfare services from January to March, 2011. Giorgi`s phenomenological research method is applied for data analysis. As a result of the analysis, this study deducted 25 themes and 9 main meanings from the experience of mothers who had used local welfare services. The following is the meaning of mothers` experience of using local welfare services, which reveals their experience well: (1) the frustration, (2) the reasons for the welfare agencies to exist, (3) the same old attitude of agencies, (4) inexperienced operating and managing, (5) all the wait, (6) the standpoint from the other side, (7) the place for information, (8) building up infrastructure and connectivity in community, (9) focused training in line with individual characteristics and reinforced connection. The result of this study reveals that mothers` experience of using local welfare services actually serves as the impetus for the positive change. Accordingly, it is required for each agency to seek for restructuring, to construct infrastructure in community, and for central and local governments to support in various ways.
