PBL방법을 활용한 항공서비스 교육의 효과분석 = Analysis of Effects on Airline service education Applying Problem-based Learning

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 항공서비스 교육에 문제중심학습(PBL) 수업 적용 사례를 통한 실증적 교육성과의 분석에 있다. 항공서비스 교육은 고객의 다양성, 항공서비스 수행 과정의 실제성, 그리고 예측불가의 문제 발생 가능성과 이에 대처하는 문제해결능력의 요구 등 PBL수업이 적절한 여러 상황과 요건을 지닌다. 이에 본 연구는 강의식수업과 PBL수업을 모두 수강한 항공서비스학과의 학생들을 대상으로 설문과 심층면접을 실시하여 PBL수업의 효과분석을 강의식수업과의 차이를 통해 살펴보았다. 연구 대상자는 항공서비스 교육 Ⅰ, Ⅱ의 수업을 1학기에는 강의식으로, 2학기에는 PBL수업으로 경험한 학생들이었다. 연구 결과 PBL수업이 태도, 기술, 지식의 모든 영역에서 강의식수업보다 교육효과가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 단지 지식 영역 중 관련지식의 전달 항목에서만 유의미한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 특히 PBL수업의 교육효과 중 태도요인은 학생들의 수업효과성을 설명하는 데 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 항공서비스 교육에서의 PBL수업 적용의 가능성과 시사점을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study intends to present the case of problem-based learning(PBL) instruction in airline service class and empirical analytic result of its educational effectiveness. Airline service education has many factors that fit to PBL instruction in terms of having a variety of customers, airline service preparation for real implementation and needs of problem-solving ability for unpredictable problems. This study tries to identify the differences of effectiveness between PBL and conventional(lecture-based) instructions for undergraduate students who have experienced both instructions through out the first and second semesters. The study result shows that PBL was better than lecture-based instruction in all factors of skill, attitude and knowledge. One item that didn't show significant difference is ‘delivery of relevant knowledge’ in knowledge factor. Especially attitude factor among educational effectiveness does significantly influence students' intention to recommend the course to others. Based on this result, PBL application in airline service education and suggestions are made.
