교회부설 노인대학 운영 실태에 대한 연구 = The Study on the Realities of Old Folks College in Church

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to research the actual operating condition of the Elderly College attached to a church that is located in Suseong-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City and about how much the educatees are satisfied with the contents of education. The research is done by revising and complementing Se-woo Jang(2002)'s thesis that is related to「the influence of the Elderly' education on the degree of life's satisfaction」for a master's degree, and the almost same questionnaires of the above thesis are also used. The object of this study is the 140 elderly people who attend the Elderly College over sixty five years old. 128 of the questionnaires, as effective data, were analyzed with the SPSS 17.0 program.
The derived conclusions from study result that is revealed through this research are as follows
Firstly, it is revealed that generally the elderly are in difficulties for financial problem, disease problem, loneliness and alienation, etc.
Secondly, the Elderly College has great influences on local communities and local residents. And generally it is regarded with favor.
Thirdly, research revealed that, as a result about general demand and improvement method, cultivation and training of the experts is needed.
Fourthly, research revealed the degree of satisfaction toward the Elderly College. The result was that the elderly were very satisfied. And, if possible, they want to receive more substantial education in contents. Like this, the elderly want to get a life of more valuable through the Elderly College. And they tried to have a new understanding of more elevated life's worth through high quality education services.
So the churches in modern society must endeavor to improve the circumstances and qualities of education with the motto「the Elderly College as the lifelong education and as the education for the whole person」, getting out of conventional operating structure of the Elderly College as a part of services for local society.
And at the same time, some programs about the existing Elderly College must be extended and reformed so that the Elderly College might position to occupy a lot as a education for the whole person. Then the church's view about public sharing also can be extended, so that it can be established as an social-level situation achieving ‘harmony and balance between the generations’.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 대구광역시 수성구에 있는 교회부설 노인대학의 운영실태와 피교육자들이 교육내용에 대해 얼마나 만족하고 있는지를 연구하는데 있다. 연구방법은 노인교육이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향과 관련한 장세우(2002)를 수정·보완하여 노인대학의 운영실태 조사 방식에 사용했던 설문지를 사용하였다. 연구대상은 노인대학에 출석하는 65세 이상의 노인들을 대상으로 하였고, 총 140명을 대상으로 하였다. 그 중 유효자료 128부를 spss 17.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다.
본 연구를 통해 밝혀진 연구 결과를 바탕으로 결론을 도출하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 노인들의 일반적 특성은 경제적 문제, 질병문제, 고독함과 소외 등의 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 노인대학이 지역과 주민에게 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보았다. 그 결과 지역주민에게 크게 영향을 미치며 또한 긍정적으로 나타났다.
셋째, 노인대학의 일반적 요구 및 개선방안에 대한 결과로서는, 전문가 양성과 개발을 원하고 있는 것으로 응답되었다.
넷째, 노인대학의 만족도에 관하여 알아보았다. 그 결과 대단히 만족하다로 나타났으며, 많은 노인들이 노인대학에서 알찬 교육을 받기를 원하고 있는 것으로 응답되었다.
이와 같이 노년층은 교회의 노인대학을 통하여 보다 진중한 삶을 영위하기를 원하고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 질 높은 서비스로서의 교육을 통해 보다 향상된 인생의 가치를 재인식하고자 하였다.
따라서 현대 사회에서의 교회는 지역사회를 위한 봉사의 일환으로서의 노인대학 운영의 틀에서 벗어나 전인교육과 평생교육으로서의 노인대학이라는 모토를 가지고 교육적 환경과 질적 향상을 기하여야 하겠다.
또한 기존의 노인대학에 대한 프로그램들을 확대 개편하여 더욱 성숙한 전인교육의 터전으로 자리매김하여야 하고, 교회의 공적 나눔의 시각을 넓혀 세대간의 조화와 균형을 이룩하는 사회적 상황으로 정립되어야 할 것이다.
