비합리적 신념과 상태불안의 진로탐색활동에 미치는 영향 = Influences of irrational beliefs and state anxiety on career exploration of undergraduates

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this study, the differences in career exploration by the level of negative cognitions such as state anxiety and irrational beliefs were investigated in sample of 394(male:183, female: 211) undergraduates. The relationship between undergraduates' career exploration and negative cognitions was assessed using ANOVA and Stepwise Multiple Regression analysis procedures. The study revealed the following results.
First, ANOVA showed that there was significant difference in the career exploration activity. That is to say, the higher irrational beliefs and state anxiety, the less career exploration activity, except for tendency of dependency and blame which were irrational beliefs sub-types.
Second, Multiple Regression Analysis(Stepwise) showed that overwhelming and anxiety, state anxiety, fear of disappointing significant others, and perfectionistic solution in that order of influence(R2=.170).
In conclusion, negative cognitions such as irrational beliefs and state anxiety may prevent or inhibit the career exploration activity for undergraduates. But, it was meaningful that the perfectionistic solution, sub-types of irrational beliefs, that played a positive role in career exploration activity.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 대학생(남자: 183 여자: 211)의 진로탐색활동이 비합리적 신념과 상태불안에 따라 어떤 차이와 효과를 나타내는지 분석하고 있다. 먼저, 일원변량분석 결과 비합리적 신념의 10가지 하위유형들 가운데 비난경향성과 의존성 신념에서만 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았고, 인정에의 요구, 개인적 완벽성, 파국화, 정서적 무책임, 과잉불안염려, 문제회피, 무기력과 같은 비합리적 신념 유형들에서는 집단 간 유의미한 차이를 나타냄으로써 해당 유형의 비합리적 신념 수준이 높은 집단이 낮은 집단에 비해 진로탐색활동 참여도가 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 집단 간 유의미한 차이를 보인 ‘완벽한 해결’ 유형에서는 해당 비합리적 신념 수준이 높을수록 진로탐색활동에 적극적인 것으로 분석되어 다른 비합리적 신념들과 차이를 보였다. 한편, 상태불안의 경우 집단 간 유의미한 차이를 나타냄으로써 상태불안 수준이 높은 집단이 낮은 집단에 비해 진로탐색활동에 소극적인 것으로 분석되었다. 중다회귀분석 결과에서는 과잉불안 및 염려, 상태불안, 인정에의 요구, 완벽한 해결의 순으로 진로탐색활동에 상대적 영향력을 보이고 있다(R2=.170). 표준화계수로 볼 때, 과잉불안 및 염려, 상태불안, 인정에의 요구는 진로탐색활동에 부정적인 효과를 나타내었으나 완벽한 해결은 긍정적인 효과를 나타내었다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 부정적 인지특성이라 하더라도 개인의 진로발달에 부정적인 영향만을 발휘하는 것이 아니라 긍정적인 효과를 발휘할 수도 있는 양면성이 있음을 보고하였고, 선행연구들과 논의하고 결론을 제시하였다.
