국외입양부모의 한국아동 입양경험에 관한 현상학적 연구 -호주지역 입양부모를 중심으로- = A Phenomenological Study on the Overseas Adoptive Parents` Experiences of Adopting and Parenting Korean Adoptees

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to have an in-depth understanding of overseas adoptive parents` experiences of adopting and parenting Korean adoptees. To achieve this purpose, the researcher collected data from in-depth interviews with overseas adoptive parents raising a Korean adoptee, who lived in Queensland, Australia, and analysed the data through a phenomenological research approach. The phenomenological approach is a qualitative research approach to explore the essential structure of a phenomenon, through which research participants have experienced. As results, the five themes and seventeen sub-themes regarding experiences of overseas adoptive parents were emerged. The main themes are as follows; ``inter-country adoption, the next best plan became the best plan``, ``being parents, a long journey with children``, ``identity as an inter-country adoptive family``, ``diversity in diversity, living as multi-cultural family in a multi-cultural society``, ``Korea, it is difficult to understand``.
